Burnout Paradise Remastered

Update (4/18): The eShop has removed the June 19 release date for Burnout Paradise Remastered. However, it’s unclear if the information was inaccurate or was shared early. We’ll pass along any other information that comes to light.


Original (4/16): Burnout Paradise Remastered may have a final release date on Switch. The game’s eShop page has updated in North America, showing that it’ll apparently be available on June 19. We’ll need to wait for EA to confirm, but it definitely sounds realistic.

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have announced Tempest Trials+: Iote’s Return as one of the latest events in Fire Emblem Heroes. Players can clear the event maps to raise their score and earn rewards, including the 5-star Special Hero Minerva: Princess-Knight, 50 Divine Codes (Ephemera 4), and two Sacred Seals: Sturdy Stance 1 and Spd Tactic 1. Also planned is a log-in bonus in which they can earn Orbs up to ten times by logging in daily.

Tempest Trials+: Iote’s Return won’t start until April 21, but you can participate in a related summoning focus. This features Marth: Altean Prince, Caeda: Talys’s Heart, and Minerva: Red Dragoon.

In other Fire Emblem Heroes news, there’s a Grand Hero Battle Revival for two days only featuring Linus: Mag Dog. Limited time quests are available.

Pokemon Sword/Shield

During an online event today, the winners were announced for the Famitsu Dengeki Awards 2019.

Pokemon Sword/Shield was the big winner of the night, securing the top choice for Game of the Year. Ring Fit Adventure was also recognized. Other Nintendo-published games received nominations, including Astral Chain, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and Zelda: Link’s Awakening.

If there’s one thing Tom Nook is known for in the Animal Crossing series, it’s the debts he collects. Players need to pay off loans to expand their house, which is a mechanic that carries over into the series’ latest entry. But although some may look at Tom Nook as a character primarily interested in money, the developers behind Animal Crossing feels he’s just misunderstood.

New Horizons producer Hisashi Nogami mentioned to The Verge that “Tom Nook is a very caring, really great guy.” Since he’s an adult, “he’s very careful with money.”
