Fire Emblem Heroes kicked off the Voting Gauntlet: Fated Battle event earlier today. Take a look at some footage in the video below.

Last week, Nintendo’s 78th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders was held in Japan. It featured a very brief presentation, a Q&A session, and a vote. It was here where new president Shuntaro Furukawa was sworn in as Nintendo’s new president, taking over for Tatsumi Kimishima.

Below are the full voting results of the vote:

The winners are in for the “Best of E3 2018” Game Critics Awards.

A number of Nintendo titles were nominated awards, including Smash Bros. Though it missed out on “Best of Show”, it was chosen as “Best Fighting Game”. Other highlights include Overcooked 2 for “Best Family/Social Game” and Fortnite as “Best Ongoing Game”.

2K has announced the cover athlete for NBA 2K19. Giannis Antetokounmpo, also known as the “Greek Freak” will be featured on the standard primary packaging image.

Antetokounmpo is from the Milwaukee Bucks and is a two-time NBA All-Star. He was the first player in NBA history to finish a regular season ranked in the top 20 in total points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks.

FuRyu mentioned in its latest shareholder report that it would be temporarily suspending its games business. That had fans concerned that the company would no longer be making titles like The Alliance Alive and Work x Work – at least for the near future.

Thankfully, it looks like the situation is better than expected. FuRyu issued a press release today clarifying things, and has confirmed that only smartphone games will be suspended. Console titles will still be developed.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy reached new formats last week. Interestingly, it’s the fastest selling Switch game released this year. The £30 price tag may play a factor in that.

The Xbox One and Switch versions of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy came in at first and second on the UK charts this week. However, the Switch edition only sold 250 fewer copies.

We have a couple of other tidbits regarding the latest UK sales as well. Mario Tennis Aces’ sales dipped by 53%, though GamesIndustry says that’s “decent performance for a game in its second week on shelves.” Harvest Moon: A Light of Hope, which debuted in the UK just a few days ago, had 78% of its sales on Switch in comparison to 22% on the PlayStation 4.
