We recently came across an interview French website Gamekult conducted at E3. The site caught up with Philippe Lavoué, managing director of Nintendo France. Since we felt it was interesting enough, we decided to go ahead with a full, proper translation.

In the interview, Lavoué touched on many different topics. This includes Switch and third-parties (more games are coming), mobile, and the staying power of amiibo.

We’ve posted the fully translated interview below. Just keep in mind the context of when it was conducted – specifically for questions such as a NES Classic Edition followup.

The Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack is dropping later this month on Switch. In Japan, Inti Creates is gearing up for a limited edition. We now have a look at the full contents.

The Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack Limited Edition will feature a special box and a copy of the game. Inti Creates is also including the OVA on DVD and a new drama CD.

WWE 2K18

This week, Take-Two Interactive reported its latest financial results. The event was accompanied by the regular earnings call with investors, analysts, and other interested parties.

Towards the end of the call, Switch was brought into the conversation. Take-Two was asked about its potential and how the company’s perspective has changed over the past few months.

A ton of footage from Wargroove was showcased during a Chucklefish live stream earlier today. We’ve attached the full recording below.

Mario Kart DS introduced the very neat Mission Mode. It had you completing various objectives, such as racing backwards through a course. The mode even featured a number of boss battles.

The next Mario Kart game, Mario Kart Wii, was going to include its own Mission Mode at some point before being ultimately scrapped. After nearly a decade, a new discovery from MrBean35000vr reveals some of the leftover content.

Pokemon GO

This weekend, Pokemon GO will be seeing an uptick of Pokemon not usually seen in Europe. Creatures such as Kangaskhan and Unown may begin to appear more frequently in certain cities.

In related news, Lure Models at Unibail-Rodamco shopping centers will be activated at many PoeéStops found at these locations. This will take place throughout the weekends of August 12 and August 19.

Continue on below for the lineup of European cities that will be involved with the rarely seen Pokemon. The event will last until August 21.
