Darkest Dungeon

Darkest Dungeon appears to be making its way to Switch, judging off of a new video posted on the official Twitter account. Red Hook Studios posted a clip that seems to show its game running on Nintendo’s console.

Here’s the brief clip in question:

Darkest Dungeon, a roguelike turn-based RPG, originally came out last year and has been very well received. We have some additional information and a trailer below.

One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition is available on Switch today. It’s being sold both physically and digitally in Europe, but only as an eShop download in North America. Check out the game’s launch trailer below.

If you’ve purchased the SNES Classic Edition in Europe, you should find a slip inside with a code for 300 Platinum Points that can be added to your My Nintendo account. As far as we know, this isn’t included in the North American version. Last year’s NES Classic Edition did come with 300 Platinum Points of its own

A pair of Metroid: Samus Returns wallpapers are available on My Nintendo Europe. Both are pictured above, and cost 50 Platinum Points each. They’ll be on My Nintendo until March 1.

The two wallpapers can be ordered here. Nintendo added them to the North American site a little while back, and can be redeemed on the same page.

Nintendo has published a new European launch trailer for the Super NES Classic Edition, which is out today. Have a look at the video below.

FIFA 18 does offer online play on Switch. Unfortunately though, the game has a huge omission. As the game is now, you have absolutely no way of playing with friends online. The only way you can run into a friend is through random chance.

EA patching FIFA 18 to support the feature may not be entirely off the table. But as the game stands now, that is a significant feature to be lacking.

Other elements missing from the Switch version of FIFA 18 compared to its console counterparts can be found here.

Mebius and Shannon have announced a new horror visual novel for Switch known as “Okuriinu”. It’s planned for a release this year in Japan as an eShop download.

Okuriinu is based on a 34-page short story by writer and game designer Takiya Iijima, which also goes by the same name. Iijima has created new scenarios for the game.

Capcom hasn’t done a whole lot with Mega Man in recent years. The series has seen a couple of retro collections, but not much else. Fans might be concerned about Mega Man’s future, but Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya recently tried to put those fears to rest.

Tsuchiya said at the Tokyo Game Show last week:

Just in case you had any doubts that the Wii Shop Channel’s closure would be limited to Japan, Nintendo of Europe has posted a notice on its website that essentially confirms that the news applies to all regions.

You’ll no longer be able to add points after March 26. Nintendo will then close off the ability to purchase content and download channels after January 31, 2019. It all ends with the Wii Shop Channel’s full closure and disabling of redownload functions sometime in 2019.
