Nintendo has brought out a small update for Super Mario Run, bringing the game up to version 1.1.1. It’s small in nature, as it only appears to implement bug fixes. You’ll need 167 MB for the download.

It goes without saying that Super Mario Run’s update is only for iOS users. The mobile title has yet to launch on Android, although that’ll be changing next month.

Pokemon GO is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a special event. It kicks off today at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET / 7 PM in the UK / 8 PM in Europe, lasting until February 15 at the same time.

Chansey, Clefable, and other pink Pokemon can be found more frequently during the event. Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum will be more likely to hatch from Eggs as well. Additionally, Lure Modules will last for six hours.

Keeping in line with Valentine’s Day, the amount of Candy will be doubled for catching, hatching, and transferring Pokemon. And if that wasn’t enough, your Buddy Pokemon will find Candy twice as fast.

The Fire Emblem Heroes “Choose your Legends” vote wrapped up last week. Since then, fans have been wondering when we’ll be hearing about the results. It won’t be much longer, thankfully.

Nintendo said on the Japanese Fire Emblem Heroes Twitter account that the results will be shared on Thursday. It’s Wednesday already in Japan, so we can basically expect to hear something within the next day or so.

Plenty of Fire Emblem aficionados participated in the vote. Nintendo said last Wednesday that 1.2 million votes were recorded.

Best Buy is again taking pre-orders for the Switch Pro Controller. The retailer’s product page is here. Best Buy has already sold out of these a couple of times, so we’ll have to see how long this lasts.

Just before Fire Emblem Heroes’ launch, Nintendo held a special vote on the game’s website. Fans were tasked with voting on characters they’d like to see in the game. If you participated and logged in as a My Nintendo member, you would be entitled to some free points.

Those points are now starting to go out. Nintendo is sending out emails confirming that 200 Platinum Points are being sent to users’ accounts. If you visit this page, you can verify that they’ve been properly added.

Thanks to Anthony for the tip.

Take-Two is starting off its Switch support with NBA 2K18. However, that seems to be just the start of the company’s overall plans for the platform.

Chatting during its latest financial call, Take-Two head Strauss Zelnick said there are plans to support Switch “long form.” He said:

“We’re excited about Switch we’re supporting Switch with NBA 2K18, we’ve said we’re supporting it long form. We’ve said over and over again that when Nintendo comes to market you never want to count them out. So we’re excited about it, but the only thing we can announce is the basketball title.”
