Fire Emblem Heroes – EXP x1.5 event, Summoning Focuses, “Battle of the Mages” Voting Gauntlet

Fire Emblem Heroes updated with new content today. Nintendo and Intelligent Systems introduced a new EXP 1.5 event, Summoning Focuses, and “Battle of the Mages” Voting Gauntlet.
First, all players can earn 1.5 times the experience right now up until the early morning of May 15. This applies to battles in Story Maps, Training Tower, Special Maps, and the Arena. Just keep in mind that there is a limit as to how much experience can be earned in a single battle.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tops UK charts for April

It may have only been out on the market for a few days, but Mario Kart 8 Deluxe still managed to be the best-selling game in the UK during April. Zelda: Breath of the Wild also made the list coming in at the sixth spot.

NBA 2K18 launches for Switch on September 19 alongside other versions, special editions, Shaq cover

NBA 2K18 was technically announced for Switch a few months ago. Today though, 2K Sports announced that the game will launch on September 19 right alongside all other versions of the game.
2K Sports is also giving Switch the same treatment as other consoles when it comes to special editions. You’ll be able to pick up a standard copy, Legend Edition, or Legend Edition Gold.

Super Mario Run downloaded over 50 million times on Android

At the end of March, Super Mario Run was sitting between 10 million and 50 million downloads on Android. The game has climbed up since then, as it’s now between 50 million and 100 million downloads, according to the Google Play store. We don’t have a specific number, but Android users continue to download the game.

Dragon Quest XI – details and screenshots for Zone and Link systems

Square Enix updated the Dragon Quest XI website with the latest details and screenshots for its upcoming RPG. Two of the game’s systems are covered: “Zone” and “Link”. We’ve rounded up the latest news below, courtesy of Gematsu.
Zone
– One of the new powers that appears in battle
– State of heightened concentration that temporarily increases your combat ability
– If attacked by an enemy, the protagonist and other party members can enter Zone allowing them to turn a sticky situation into a prime opportunity
– Entering Zone surrounds your body in a blue light and increases your ability
– The effect can carry over to the next battle until it disappears
– Even if you take heavy damage and find yourself in a pinch entering Zone could be your chance for a counterattack
– Zone is even more promising when several party members enter it
– Monsters can also enter zone
Link
– If you enter Zone, you can acquire even further power
– By combining your power with those of your party members, you can unleash powerful Link techniques
– These can become the key to defeating formidable enemies
– Silvia can light up the protagonist’s sword with fire
– Link techniques differ depending on the combination of party members, learned spells and skills, and the number of people that are in Zone
– How you organize your party will directly affect which Link techniques you can unleash
– Monsters can also unleash Link techniques
– Camus and the Protagonist: “Falcon Dance”
– Full Party: “Giga Burst”
– Silvia and Protagonist and Row: “Rose Hurricane”

Fire Emblem Heroes update out now (version 1.3.0) – Arena changes, Training Tower difficulty, more

Fire Emblem Heroes has received a new update. On both iOS and Android, players can now download version 1.3.0.
Fire Emblem Heroes makes key changes to the tier system in the Arena while also adding new maps. The Training Tower’s difficulty has been adjusted as well on top of bug fixes.

Plantera coming to Switch

Ratalakia Games brought Plantera to Wii U and 3DS earlier this year. The game is now making its way to Switch as well. Rainy Frog is releasing it in Japan as “Plantera DX”, but Ratalakia may choose to handle the western release.

For those who haven’t heard about Plantera previously, we have the following overview:
“In the world of Plantera you grow your own garden and breed plants and animals to earn coins with their produce. Use the coins to buy new plants and animals, and also special items and garden expansions. Watch everything grow, help planting and harvesting, buy new things, and defend your garden from sneaky magpies, rabbits, foxes, and wolves. Raise your level and the productivity of your plants and animals! Earn more and more, and create your own dream garden!”
