Unlike Pokemon GO, Super Mario Run isn’t entirely free-to-play. You’re able to play a bit of the game before you pay $10 to unlock everything it has to offer. Having said that, a big question people have wondered about is how Super Mario Run will be received, and how well it will sell.

In America, it’s currently the seventh top-grossing iPhone app (Pokemon GO is at the fifth spot in case you’re curious). And in the UK, the title is #2, just behind Pokemon GO. Super Mario Run is off to a strong start – at least so far.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is nearly here on Wii U. To download the game, you’ll need 1,634 MB of free space.

Most Kickstarter backers actually already have access to Shantae: Half-Genie Hero. The digital version launches on December 20, followed by the retail release a week later.

Super Mario Run comes with a couple of options to turn down the graphical quality, resulting in a dip in performance. In exchange, Nintendo says you’ll save a bit of battery. Nintendo Life compares the options in the video below.

Did you know that Minecraft: Story Mode – The Complete Adventure is now available? Perhaps not, as it was never actually announced, nor was there any official notice about it’s release. But hey, it’s here. And there’s an update to go online with it.

After starting up the Minecraft: Story Mode – The Complete Adventure disc, you might notice that an update is live. It takes up a decent amount of space at 118 MB. It’s unclear what it entails, but we’ll let you know if we hear anything.

Nintendo Badge Arcade was updated in Japan with the latest content today, and the lovable bunny shared an impressive stat about the 3DS app. In that country, downloads have now reached 3.4 million. Users can celebrate with a month of free plays up through January 15.

Before Super Mario Run hit the App Store, Nintendo officially confirmed four playable characters in the game. You can eventually use Luigi, Yoshi, and Toad in addition to Mario. However, there are actually two other characters in Super Mario Run as well.

To celebrate the launch of Super Mario Run on iOS, Nintendo shared a video of Shigeru Miyamoto drawing a special image on the iPad Pro. Watch it below.


Today, Wired put up a new interview of its own with Shigeru Miyamoto. Miyamoto talked Super Mario Run, including how he hasn’t been involved with a project like this since 2007. He also commented on the audience for Switch and why we won’t be seeing the original Super Mario Bros. on phones.
