My Nintendo adds Pikmin 4 sticker set in North America

Original (7/6): A new physical My Nintendo reward has arrived, which comes just ahead of the launch of Pikmin 4. Members can now claim a sticker set based on the game.
The set includes a pair of 3″ vinyl stickers features a variety of Pikmin, an explorer, and space pup Oatchi. You can apply them on surfaces like a water bottle, laptop, or Nintendo Switch dock.

Rune Factory 3 Special “Bachelorettes” trailer

XSEED and Marvelous just put out the latest trailer for Rune Factory 3 Special that highlights the game’s bachelorettes that protagonist Micah will encounter in his daily life. There are eleven in total, including Shara, a kindhearted young woman with a powerful sense of justice; Sofia, an heiress who always says exactly the opposite of what she means; and Raven, a prickly blacksmith’s assistant who doesn’t like small talk – or any talk at all.

Original (5/16): The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails has finally secured a release date in the west. Fans can experience the game on September 19, 2023 in North America and September 22 in Europe.
Plans for a localized version of The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails on Switch were confirmed back in 2021. NIS America was targeting a 2023 launch, but now we have a proper date.

Parasol Stars: The Story of Bubble Bobble III coming to Switch

A new Switch version of Parasol Stars: The Story of Bubble Bobble III is in development, ININ Games and Taito announced today. It’s due out later in 2023.
The game is a classic platformer that first came out in 1991. It’s a sequel to Rainbow Islands and the third installment in the Bubble Bobble series.
Miyamoto: “I consider Pikmin to be Nintendo’s most global characters”

In the latest developer interview published for Pikmin 4 today, Shigeru Miyamoto said that he feels “Pikmin to be Nintendo’s most global characters.”
Miyamoto’s comments came about when asked what Pikmin means to him. He expressed wanting “people to have this real sense that Pikmin are all around us, that they aren’t just fantasy creatures.” Also brought up is how Mario is strictly limited to his world, but Miyamoto believes Nintendo has “finally reached a point where people can find Pikmin in various places, not just in their imaginations.”

Dolphin team pulls the plug on plans for Steam release

The team behind the Dolphin emulator has cancelled plans for release on Steam following the initial announcement in March.
A lengthy post was made on the software’s website today. It was explained that, ultimately, “given Nintendo’s long-held stance on emulation, we find Valve’s requirement for us to get approval from Nintendo for a Steam release to be impossible.” Also reconfirmed is that Nintendo never actually sent a DMCA takedown notice, but Valve’s legal department reached out to Nintendo, and a lawyer for the Big N requested Valve prevent the Steam release.
