Activision has shared some pure b-roll gameplay of Crash Bandicoot in Skylanders Imaginators. Check it out below.

As for the backstory of Crash in Skylanders Imaginators, here’s the lowdown:

In Skylanders Imaginators, a wormhole has opened in Skylands and the great Aku Aku appears! He comes to announce the once in two decades Synchronization Celebration. It is the time when all of the worlds align perfectly. They are having a huge celebration event in the Wumpa Islands and want to invite the Skylanders. But with Kaos on a quest to take over Skylands using his army of Doomlanders, the Skylanders must focus on stopping his evil plans. Never one to shy away from danger, the legendary marsupial Crash Bandicoot travels through the wormhole to join the Skylanders in the ultimate battle against Kaos!

Nintendo has been hosting a new Miitomo re-tweet event over the past week. Having reached 10,000 and 20,000 re-tweets respectively, “Link’s new hair wig” and “Link wig” were already confirmed as free gifts for the app. Nintendo also added in another goal recently at 40,000 re-tweets: a black 8-bit Link tee.

Nintendo has now announced that this latest target has been reached. That means, starting tomorrow, users will be able to get their hands on a total of three gifts in Miitomo.

More:

During Sony’s E3 2016 media briefing tonight, it was announced that Crash Bandicoot will be joining Skylanders Imaginators. But as it turns out, the character isn’t exclusive to PlayStation.

If you obtain the figure, you’ll be able to play as Crash in the Wii U version of the game. Right now there are only plans to offer it in the PlayStation 4 Starter Pack version, but you’ll probably be seeing the figure pop up on eBay. Activision will likely give Crash a standalone release at some point in the future as well.

Here’s a trailer:

And some footage:

Axiom Verge will finally be launching on Wii U this summer. There will be some GamePad integration, which creator Tom Happ touched on while speaking with Nintendo Life.

Happ told the site:

It was kind of a no-brainer with this sort of game – exploration and item acquisition are the main things you want the player to be focused on. I think anyone who’s ever played a “metroidvania” has felt some frustration at trying to reconcile the tiny minimap with what they’re seeing on the big map in the menu, having to always switch back and forth – this ameliorates that a lot, plus in Axiom Verge’s case, the huge amount of weapons you normally have to scroll through in an item wheel. There’d probably be an uprising if I used that secondary screen for anything else.

Nami Tentou Mushi made it known last year that PSIBO is planned for the Wii U eShop. The indie developer published a new trailer for the game today – see below.

PSIBO is “coming soon” to the Wii U eShop in North America and Europe.

Finally we have a photo of Shigeru Miyamoto, Eiji Aonuma, and Reggie Fils-Aime together as we head into tomorrow’s E3 stream. Miyamoto and Aonuma are both wearing t-shirts that feature the same Sheikah symbol found on the E3 site. Not too long to go before the fun begins!

Jotun: Valhalla Edition will be debuting on new platforms this summer. On Wii U, the team has come up with some new GamePad integration.

Here’s the lowdown from creative director Will Dubé:

We definitely wanted to do something unique for Nintendo gamers. Having previously worked in mobile games, I knew that having touch pad integration would be a really fun addition. The God Powers lent themselves very naturally to that idea. Also, on the left side of the GamePad screen we were able to add the map. This lets the player glance down and stay in the game flow without having to constantly pause the game to find out where she is. We’re really happy with how the Wii U GamePad features turned out and can’t wait to share with Nintendo fans around the world!
