Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam has been out in Europe since earlier this month, and in just a few weeks, it’ll be launching in the states as well. That means Nintendo of America is starting to get its promotional efforts going, in part with a teaser website located here. I’m sure it’ll be filled with all sorts of content very soon!

Thanks to Jake for the tip.

NintenDaan has posted a new video – see below – in which the newest Animal Crossing amiibo are unboxed. You can also get another look at the Lucas figure, plus the Japanese version of the gold Mario amiibo.

Two new Super Mario Maker courses have gone live. After completing the latest NES Remix levels in Event Courses, players can unlock the Birdo and Excitebike costumes.

Below are overviews of the official courses:

NES Remix (Excitebike)

“In the NES Remix series, a variety of classic Nintendo Entertainment Sysgtem games are given a new lease on life. This time, we’ve picked the Excitebike stage to recreate in Super Mario Maker! Hold the dash button and right on the +Control Pad from the moment the course begins to replicate the authentic motocross experience.”

NES Remix (Super Mario Bros. 2)

“In the NES Remix series, a variety of classic Nintendo Entertainment System games are given a new lease on life. This time, we’ve picked the Super Mario Bros. 2 stages to recreate! If you’ve played the original game, you’ll recognize many of the locations and elements. In true NES Remix style, it’s all very familiar, yet somehow a little different.”

The Next Penelope has long been planned for Wii U. Creator Aurelien Regard published a Tumblr blog concerning the core game’s development a few months back, which contains a little piece of information about the eShop version that slipped under the radar.

Regard wrote that Blitworks has been put in charge of bringing The Next Penelope to Nintendo’s system. This team has extensive porting experience, including the tough task of Bastion on PlayStation Vita. Regard says the Wii U version will be prioritized as Blitworks remakes the game from scratch in C++.

He said:

“It’s a relief: while I’m writing, the very talented studio Blitworks is currently totally rewriting Penelope from scratch to C++, and making a great port / remake on consoles. It’s a gigantic amount of work, and they will even publish it, prioritizing WiiU.”

The Donkey Kong and Bowser Skylanders/amiibo will soon be sold outside of SuperChargers Starter Packs. Turbo Charge Donkey Kong, Barrel Blaster, Hammer Slam Bowser, and Clown Cruiser will be sold as part of new Dual Packs for $24.99. It seems that some retailers already have these, but it’s looking like they’ll begin to become more widely available next week.

During E3, Best Buy ran a special Nintendo pre-order offer. By reserving two select games, consumers could receive a Super Mario Maker button set. A lot of folks have been wondering about what was happening with the promo, and today there’s finally been some movement.

Best Buy has started sending out emails to eligible customers about the promotion. You should be receiving a unique code that can be used to obtain the 7-button set for free. It can be used through the end of January 2016.

If you missed out on the promotion, you can try your luck on Best Buy’s site here. You won’t get the button set for free, however, as there’s a $75 asking price otherwise.
