Nintendo eShop

Nintendo’s various shops are undergoing some heavy maintenance in just a few days. This will begin Sunday evening for those of you in North America and in the very early morning on Monday over in Europe. The Wii U and 3DS eShops, Wii Shopping Channel, and DSi Shop will be affected.

The upcoming maintenance is particularly notable due to its length. It seems that the maintenance period will last nearly an entire day.

Here’s the full breakdown of times:

– 7 PM PT (Sunday) – 7 PM PT (Monday)
– 10 PM ET (Sunday) – 10 PM ET (Monday)
– 3 AM in the UK (Monday) – 3 AM in the UK (Tuesday)
– 4 AM in Europe (Monday) – 4 AM in Europe (Tuesday)

As for the reasoning behind the downtime, Nintendo says that it’s planning a large-scale exchange of servers. It’s also possible that the maintenance will end a bit early, though you should definitely expect it to take awhile!

Tatsumi Kimishima recently spoke with Japanese outlet Nikkei. According to the new Nintendo CEO, the company’s mobile applications will be localized into 8 languages, and will be available in over 100 countries. He also mentioned that Nintendo’s profits will have the potential to exceed the Wii/DS era in three years time.

Splatoon usually adds new weapons on Fridays, but that’s different this time around. The Luna Blaster Neo and H-3 Nozzlenose D have both been added to the game and can be used now.

Here’s an overview of the former:

Tonight you can get your hands on the Luna Blaster Neo. This blaster comes with Splat Bombs so we got you a blaster pro-tip: use the Splat Bombs to force your foes closer so that you can hit ‘em with your Luna Blaster Neo.

And an overview of the latter:

Love your H-3 Nozzlenose but wish that it had a sweet whale sticker on it? Look no further than the H-3 Nozzlenose D! It comes with a Point Sensor and Inkzooka and also we’re pretty sure that the D stands for “Dang! That’s a cool whale sticker!”

RCMADIAX has three titles up on the European Wii U eShop: Blok Drop U, Blok Drop X Twisted Fusion, and Tabletop Gallery. However, there are several more that have only been launched in North America.

This will be changing sometime next year. Because of “recent developments among the worlds leading age ratings boards” leading to a less expensive and time-consuming process, the indie developer will be publishing its entire catalog of games in Europe as well as Australia by the end of Q2 2016.

The lineup includes:

– Super Robo Mouse
– Tap Tap Arcade (Includes Spikey Walls, Don’t Crash, and Pixel Slime U in a single package)
– Touch Selections [working title] (Includes Pentapuzzle, Avoider, and Peg Solitaire in a single package)

RCMADIAX also said today that it will be working with Nintendo of Europe to bring Blok Drop U, Blok Drop X Twisted Fusion, and Tabletop Gallery to a wider audience.
