Wegenbartho is bringing Sanatory Hallways to the European Wii U eShop next week, according to a listing on the store. It should be available on August 6 for €9.99.

Here’s an official overview from the game’s Indiegogo page:

Sanatory Hallways takes the idea of the Luigi mini-game from Nintendoland and takes it up to a whole new level.

In the Versus-Mode (local only for the WiiU), one player takes control of the protagonist Charla, who’s plagued by nightmares where she finds herself located in strange buildings and facilities. Her goal is to find a blue key, which allows her to unlock the exit and thus making her wake up.

Nintendo reported its first quarter results of the fiscal 2016 year yesterday. Bloomberg reveals that, during this period (April 1 through June 30), the company sold another 4.2 million amiibo. Total sales of the figures are now up to 14.7 million since last year’s launch.

When Super Mario Maker was unveiled at last year’s E3, we saw a strange-looking power-up known as the “Luigi Mushroom”. This took on a different appearance compared to the Super Mushroom that we’re used to. It’s taller and skinnier, which is how Mario transformed after coming into contact with it.

The latest Super Mario Maker trailer uploaded by Nintendo of Europe seems to show an updated design for Mario’s skinnier form. It’s only on screen for about a second or two, but you can view a screengrab above.

As a reminder, here’s what Mario looked like at last year’s E3 after touching the Luigi Mushroom:

Thanks to Yoosuf for the tip.

The Super Mario Maker “hackathon” event at Facebook concluded earlier today. The winning level? “Ship Love”.

This level will be available as a free download for Super Mario Maker players when the game launches on September 11. We don’t have a great look at the course yet, but an off-screen image was posted by Nintendo’s Kit Ellis on Twitter – see above.

This week’s issue of Famitsu has a first look at Monster Strike on 3DS. There are debut screenshots of the game as well as a few details.

Famitsu reports that the 3DS version of Monster Strike features the same story and characters as the anime adaptation. Players will be able to explore a 3D field and complete quests. It’s an RPG with a strong adventure element. Just like in the anime, the main character uses a smartphone.

Famitsu might be sharing more details about Monster Strike in its next issue. However, that information could be exclusively about the anime. We’ll see!

Nindies@Home was held during E3 week in both North America and Europe. In Australia and New Zealand, however, there was a delay. This was due to classifications for the various demos that were required.

Nindies@Home will finally be coming to the two aforementioned territories on Friday. The same nine games will be playable at different points throughout the next few weeks:

31st July – 6th August – forma.8, Runbow, Extreme Exorcism
7th August – 13th August – Lovely Planet, RIVE, Typoman
14th August – 20th August – Freedom Planet, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge, and Soul Axiom

Grabbing any of the downloads will provide a 15 percent discount when the full games launch.
