We don’t hear much about the Wii U Basic Set/Pack these days. That being said, it looks like Nintendo is still trying to offload some stock that never cleared out.

A Scandinavian listing has popped up for a new Wii U Basic Pack bundle, which comes with a physical copy of Splatoon. This is different than the recently-announced Premium Pack bundle.

Thanks to Andre P for the tip.

More footage from High Strageness has come in ahead of its release on the Wii U eShop this Wednesday. View it below.

SEGA

SEGA will not have a booth at this year’s E3, the company confirmed to Game Informer. An official statement reads:

Over the next months, SEGA of America will be focusing on the restructure and relocation to Southern California, and we have decided to not attend E3 with our own booth this year,” a representative told us via email. “With the majority of our bigger titles launching later in 2015/2016, particularly those from our AAA studios Relic Entertainment, Sports Interactive and Creative Assembly, we are concentrating our efforts for some of these major announcements after our relocation. Instead, we will be collaborating with our various business partners for this year’s E3 show.

This shouldn’t have too big of an impact on Wii U and 3DS owners. The only upcoming Nintendo games SEGA has confirmed for North America and Europe are Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX (which will be out later this month) and a few 3D Classics. Still, it’s a tiny bit sad that SEGA won’t be appearing at E3!

Reddit user “Frostwynd”, who has a proven track record when it comes to amiibo information, has given some insight into what we can expect for availability of upcoming figures at Best Buy. The new Smash Bros. and Splatoon amiibo could ship in limited supplies to the retailer.

In one state, the projected stock numbers for the latest amiibo were as follows:

Lucina – 2
Robin – 2
Wario – 3
Pac-Man – 6
Charizard – 6
Splatoon 3-pack – 5
Inkling Girl – 3
Inkling Boy – 3

These numbers were pretty much the same across the board, with very little variance. They’re also not expected to change at all before release date. Assuming they’re completely accurate, it might be tough to find Lucina and Robin when the new amiibo figures launch later this month.

BeautiFun Games is including an original mode in the Wii U version of Nihilumbra. Players will be able to try out new co-op mode, which appears to be exclusive to the eShop release.

While in co-op, one player will control Born while a second will control the brush/colors. Both will need to work together to escape from the Void. BeautiFun believes the mode “will add a whole new layer of fun to the game” and “seemed a clever way of exploiting the Wii U technology to enhance the Nihilumbra experience”.

We heard earlier today that Nihilumbra is due out on May 14 in North America. This date has now been confirmed for Europe as well. As is the case in North America, those who buy the game through May 28 can save 20 percent. It will normally be priced at $9.99 / €8.99.
