Activision has announced a new Skylanders Trap Team gameplay mode dedicated to Emperor Kaos. This is known as “Kaos Doom Challenge”.

In Kaos Doom Challenge, players can create defensive towers and take on waves of foes using any of their Skylanders in their collection – not to mention Trapped Villains as well. The mode also includes the “Mystery Box of Doom”, which will bring out even bigger villains.

Since launch, Super Smash Bros. 3DS players in Japan have been encountering issues with Peach online. Those who use the character’s “down + B” move early on in a For Glory match have been banned for 24 hours without warning.

Fortunately, Nintendo is already working on a patch. While it won’t be out for another week, we at least know that a fix is coming.

The Mario & Luigi: Dream Team section of Miiverse has been flooded with images unrelated to the game since yesterday. This has been done by taking advantage of a glitch, which Nintendo patched with update 1.1 last year. Those without the update have been able to upload photos of any kind.

Nintendo should be looking to re-address the glitch as soon as possible. In the meantime, moderators have been doing everything they can given the circumstances – be it banning users, deleting posts, removing photos, and more.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS has finally arrived in Japan, and will be out overseas in just a few more weeks. Let’s go over everything we know about the game!

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart! Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Persona 5, Final Fantasy XV, Super Smash Bros. for 3DS (votes were sent before the game launched), and Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire are all in the top five.

Head past the break for the full chart. All votes were cast between August 28 and September 3.

With more and more Kickstarter campaigns popping up these days, it would be tough to cover them all without overloading the site. And thus, the Kickstarter roundup was born! We’ll be posting these each weekend (assuming I don’t forget… haha) so that we can bring the latest Kickstarter efforts to your attention.

Here’s today’s roundup:

Games

Warlocks (new) – $25,000 for funding, planned for Wii U
Six Miles Under (new) – £20,000 for funding, planned for Wii U
Ray’s the Dead – already funded at $30,000, Wii U stretch goal at $65,000
Adventures of Pip – $40,000 for funding, planned for Wii U
Nefarious – $50,000 for funding, planned for Wii U

Note that this is kind of a work-in-progress thing, so expect these types of posts to evolve over time!

Curve Studios has plans to better support the 3DS in the future.

When asked if releasing more titles on the portable system was under consideration, the company’s Rob Clarke told us:

Yes! This is the plan, anyway. The 3DS is a tricky console. A ton of us at Curve own a 3DS and we love it, but when it comes to developing games it’s a bit trickier. Many of our games started out on PC and are designed for fast systems with tons of resources. We have to go back to the drawing board if we want to make them on the 3DS, and in the past we’ve not always wanted to do that. However, we decided that it’s too good a system to keep missing out on, so even before the new 3DS was announced we had already made the decision to look at bringing out more games for it, so we should have an announcement about that pretty soon.

Curve Studios has only released one game on 3DS thus far – the Nintendo-published Fluidity: Spin Cycle. Thankfully, it sounds like we can count on new games gracing the eShop in the future.

We’ll have more from Curve Studios throughout the coming week.
