Animal Crossing and the 2020 United States presidential election are colliding as part of a new initiative from the Joe Biden campaign. A number of Biden-Harris signs have been created for the Switch title, which are free to download. The set features the official Biden-Harris logo, Team Joe logo, “Joe” Pride logo, and an image of aviator sunglasses shaded in red, white, and blue.

Christian Tom, director of digital partnerships for the Biden campaign, told The Verge:

Over in North America, My Nintendo has added in a few new rewards. As usual, they essentially amount to a few 3DS discounts and themes.

The full lineup is as follows:

After the coronavirus quickly turned into a worldwide pandemic, Nintendo NY shut down for a few months. The store finally reopened earlier this month. However, reservations were required to gain entry, so you couldn’t just walk in as you normally would.

We’re still far from normal, but Nintendo NY is now removing the reservation requirement. Beginning on September 1, general entry will be accepted.

LEGO recently surprised fans by unveiling another aspect of its partnership with Nintendo. Aside from Super Mario, the two sides teamed up to create a LEGO version of the Nintendo Entertainment System. Both products are currently available.

In an interview with GameCentral not too long ago, designer Maarten Simons discussed the creation process for the Mario sprite piece and working with Nintendo on the project. He told the site:

Paper Mario: The Origami King

Paper Mario has continued to stray farther and farther from its original RPG roots over the years. These days, the games are much more adventure-focused. The change in genres has been a conscious decision from the development team, but according to producer Kensuke Tanabe, nothing is set in stone when it comes to future titles.

Recently, Eurogamer Germany asked Paper Mario: The Origami King producer about the decision not to feature heavy RPG elements in Origami King. Tanabe said in response (as translated by Nintendo Everything):

This week’s episode of Nintendo Minute has gone live. In today’s video, Kit and Krysta do a summer version of the Nintendo Switch Swap in which they choose a game for the other person that has a summer theme. Check out the full episode below.

My Nintendo has updated with a single reward, but if you’re a fan of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it may pique your interest. A wallpaper based on the Switch title is available now.

The wallpaper will set you back 50 Platinum Points. If interested, you can obtain it here.

Nintendo has teamed up with Lunchables on another partnership. Between September 1 and December 31, characters from Switch games will appear on select Lunchables packages across the United States, including Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, and Pokemon Sword/Shield (Expansion Pass).

Additionally, a giveaway is planned. The Nintendo-themed packages will come with a code that will be either a Switch prize pack or 100 Platinum Points.
