Last night, Nintendo published its 2015 annual report. There’s a whole lot of business and sales talk in it, which probably won’t come as overly interesting to many of you. You can at least find a few highlights picked out by Rösti below. For the full report, head on over to this link.

• Gross profit increased from the previous fiscal year by ¥51.3 billion to ¥214.5 billion (U.S.$1,788 million; an increase of 31.5% on a year-over-year basis)
• Total assets increased overall by ¥46.5 billion compared with the previous fiscal year, to ¥1,352.9 billion (U.S.$11,274 million) mainly due to an increase in cash and deposits and securities.
• Net assets increased by ¥49.1 billion compared to the previous fiscal year to ¥1,167.5 billion (U.S.$9,729 million) due to the increase in foreign currency translation adjustment and retained earnings.
• Net sales were ¥549.7 billion (U.S.$4,581 million; a decrease of 3.8% on a year-on year basis), of which overseas sales were ¥414.7 billion (U.S.$3,455 million; an increase of 5.1% on a year-on-year basis, and 75.4% of total sales).
• Operating income was ¥24.7 billion (U.S.$206 million; compared with an operating loss of ¥46.4 billion in the previous fiscal year)
• GameStop Inc. apparently accounted for 468$ million of net sales
• SiRAS.com Inc is no longer a subsidiary
• Capital of Nintendo RU LLC. increased from RUB104 to RUB336
• Nintendo European Research and Development SAS is now a wholly owned subsidiary
• Nintendo’s ownership of Nd Cube Company, Ltd. increased from 96% to 97%

Mattel is teaming up with Nintendo for an interesting product collaboration. As discovered by Brazilian toy site T-Hunted, six Hot Wheels cars based on Mario games are on the way.

Four of the designs are inspired by Mario platformers, and feature a Super Mario Bros. 30th anniversary logo. The other two tie into Super Mario Kart and Dr. Mario.

Here’s the full lineup:

8 Crate Delivery (Dr. Mario)
A-OK (Mario Kart)
Cool-One (Super Mario Bros. 2)
Dairy Delivery (Super Mario Bros.)
School Busted (Super Mario 3)
Volkswagen T1 Panel Bus (Super Mario World)

All of these Mario Hot Wheels are releasing in October.

Nintendo will be present at Gamescom 2015 next week. At the show, there will be plenty of live streams to check out. It seems like Nintendo will have streams going on August 6, 7, and 8 on its Twitch page here.

I wouldn’t expect too much from this, as we’ll probably just be seeing games like Super Mario Maker and Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. Still, it’s a nice thing for Nintendo to do!

Update (7/27): Bumped to the top again. The logo for Dragon Quest XI has leaked, and you can see it below.

Since it’s unknown if Dragon Quest XI will be on Nintendo platforms or not, we’re pretty much just rounding up everything here. You can watch the reveal of the game at 4:00 AM ET / 1:00 AM ET tomorrow on YouTube.

Update (7/24): Bumped to the top. No real surprise here, but we have further proof that the announcement will be Dragon Quest XI. Square Enix’s press invite says the company will announce “the first main Dragon Quest title in three years”. There will also be details about other Dragon Quest titles, so if nothing else, hopefully we’ll hear more about Dragon Quest VIII and Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3.

This week’s issue of Jump teases the reveal of a new Dragon Quest game. Square Enix will be holding a presentation on July 28, and the company is expected to announce a new title in the series. The event will be live streamed online.

Jump says that its August 3 issue will have information about “that big title”. Based on what we know thus far, many people believe that an announcement about Dragon Quest XI is incoming.

Dragon Quest IX and Dragon Quest X were both on Nintendo platforms. If we will be hearing about Dragon Quest XI soon, it will be interesting to see if this one ends up on a Nintendo system as well.

The Palutena amiibo is going up for sale on Amazon’s website soon. You’ll want to head on over to this link at 5 PM ET / 2 PM PT.

Amazon previously said that it expects to have “ample” quantities of the Palutena amiibo, though it’s still expected to sell out. You should be able to purchase one so long as you’re on the site when it becomes available in about an hour.

The Animal Crossing amiibo cards, along with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, are coming to Japan next week. While the cards haven’t been released yet, they’re apparently already facing a “major stock shortage”.

Retailer AmiAmi has been informing customers about the situation in a new email. Because of the shortage, “most orders” will not be fulfilled.
