Ping 2 is primed for a Wii U release, creator Christopher Arnold has announced.
Arnold took to Twitter and also revealed that he is now an official Wii U developer.
He wrote:
I'm officially a Nintendo Wii U Developer. I just got approved today. -Dream Achieved at Age 22.- Look forward to #Ping2 coming to Wii U.

Arnold added that he intends to launch a Kickstarter in the near future to help raise money for development:
To help pay off associated fees with becoming a bigger developer and creating a game for a console, I'll be starting a #Kickstarter soon

Ping 2’s premise is simple. It’s very much a Pong-like game, with a classic-looking style. The original Ping was created for Android devices.

WayForward confirms stage select screen, light RPG elements, and more for Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News | 0 comments
WayForward has given more insight into Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse’s gameplay.
We previously learned that Shantae has teamed up with Risky Boots after losing her powers in Risky’s Revenge. Players will be collecting Risky’s pirate gear, and they do so, will find Shantae turning into a more pirate-like character.
According to WayForward’s James Montagna:
“Last time, Shantae, at the end of [Risky’s Revenge], found herself completely without her powers—and we’re kicking the game off from there. She has to hesitantly team up with her arch nemesis, Risky Boots, the lady pirate, to take on a greater evil known as the pirate’s curse—but instead of transforming into an animal like she did in previous titles, she is actually collecting Risky’s pirate gear and is slowly becoming more pirate like. In the process, she might even be losing her identity a little bit.”
