Spirit Hunter: NG launches October 10 in North America

After announcing the game for North America at Anime Expo earlier this summer, publisher Aksys Games has dated Spirit Hunter: NG for North America. The horror adventure game will launch on October 10, the company has confirmed.

Vigil: The Longest Night announced for Switch

Taiwan-based studio Glass Heart Games has announced Vigil: The Longest Night, a 2D side-scroller featuring a “subtle cosmic, and outright body, horror.” An initial release is planned for early 2020, with the Switch launch taking place later on.

Fire Emblem Heroes: Lost Lore event now live, Draconic Aura summoning focus

The new Lost Lore event has now begun in Fire Emblem Heroes. In this event, you send out Heroes to other worlds and wait for them to recover lore from the Heroes’s Saga. This time, the focus is on the White Rose and Sable Knight saga from the World of Mystery (i.e. Marth’s games). Sending out Heroes from that world gives you various beneficial effects, so make sure to do that. The rewards for the event include Dragonflowers and orbs.
Also, today’s daily summoning focus is Heroes with Draconic Aura. The 5-star focus units are Karla: Sword Vassal, Ares: Black Knight and Kana: Dragon Princess.
Arcade puzzle game Anode due out on Switch this week

Amazon Germany has added in a new listing for Asterix & Obelix XXL 3: The Crystal Menhir. It has revealed a new collector’s edition, first screenshots, and even a possible release date.
The European collector’s edition will include a couple of goodies aside from the game. Buyers will receive a 15 centimeters-tall figurine of Obelix and Dogmatix as well as two smaller figurines of Asterix and Obelix.

Dr. Mario World earns $1.4 million, sees 7.5 million installs in its first month

According to Sensor Tower, Dr. Mario World generated an estimated $1.4 million in player in its first month. That was accomplished with roughly 7.5 million installs.
Compared to Nintendo’s other mobile titles, Dr. Mario World ranks fifth in terms of first-month revenue and fourth when it comes to downloads. It is also fifth as far as revenue per install goes at $0.19.

Astral Chain director thinks the game may have been influenced by his love of Pokemon

Nintendo and PlatinumGames are gearing up for this month’s launch of Astral Chain. As part of that, director Takahisa Taura has started sharing insights on the creation of the action game.
Today’s note is particularly noteworthy. Taura said that he great up playing Pokemon and is fond of the series, so he thinks “the idea of calling on another character to fight alongside” could have been influenced by the hugely popular monster-catching series.
