A new Summer Vacation Event is now live within Dragalia Lost that is offering plenty of perks and buffs to players who partake in the game during the event period.
The event is set to last until July 31st and each player will be given 30 Skip Tickets just for logging in. The rest of the goodies up for grabs can be viewed below.

Dragalia Lost – Summer Siren event coming July 31

UPDATE: The theme song for the event has been published and is included below.
Cygames has confirmed that a new event is beginning on July 31st that will center around an upcoming new Dragon named Siren.
Uncommonly, no exact event type has been given for the event, so it may simply be a type of side-story event. No end date was given either, but it has been confirmed that this will be part of a two-part event surrounding Siren.

Square Enix releases Oninaki demo, new trailer, game’s file size revealed

The Switch RPG Oninaki won’t be ready for another month, but Square Enix has actually released a demo for the game. It’s currently out now in Europe and Australia. We assume that it will be extended in North America when the eShop updates tomorrow. The demo takes up 1.4GB of space.
Since Oninaki has an eShop listing, we now know the game’s file size. It’ll be a 2.7GB download on Switch.

My Nintendo adds Splatoon 2 gear set

Hobonichi published a new book in Japan today about the late Satoru Iwata. Titled Iwata-san, it even includes an interview with Mario and Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto, which delves into his relationship with the now former Nintendo president.

Doom panels announced for QuakeCon 2019

QuakeCon 2019 is happening this week, and Doom will naturally have a big focus. Bethesda is planning a pair of panels for the series – one after the main keynote on July 26, and another for July 27. Saturday’s presentation will feature the first live gameplay demo of Doom Eternal.

Nintendo releases comment on Switch Joy-Con drifting issues

Since Switch’s launch, many players have complained about issues with the Joy-Con. Over time, the controllers seem to deteriorate (more so with the left one), which results in them sending input to the console without actually being moved. We have experienced this on our end, and aware of the issues you have also encountered. Law firm Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith finally filed a class-action lawsuit last week following the complaints.
The Verge reached out to Nintendo for a comment about the situation. In response, the company stated:

Original (7/15): Another Pokemon is getting the Funko Pop treatment. Announced today, Squirtle is joining the toy line.
Further information has not yet been shared. That being said, this figure is likely to start appearing in North America in the very near future.
