IGN recently spoke with Nintendo of America senior product marketing manager Bill Trinen and senior VP of sales & marketing Doug Bowser. The two had plenty to say about the Nintendo World Championships. Between the two, we’re able to hear about how the games tend to be a surprise, how the titles are chosen in the first place, and the types of participants brought in this year.

Read about these responses below. You can find the full article on IGN with more comments here.

GameStop is planning a pre-order bonus for Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon. If you purchase either game at the retailer, you’ll receive the poster pictured above.

The bonus applies both online and in-store. Keep in mind, however, that supply is “extremely limited.”

Thanks to Paul for the tip.

The North American Switch eShop added in a listing today for Zombie Golf Rush. Currently, it’s slated for October 26 with a $4.99 price point. We’ll have to see if that date sticks.

Zombie Gold Rush is a shooting game in which players get on various cars and earn gold by destroying waves of zombies. The eShop doesn’t haven’t much more information than that, but one screenshot seems to show score rankings. Also, the game takes up 106MB of space.

New content has arrived in the 3DS app Swapdoodle. Until October 31, the Halloween Moonlight Stationery can be downloaded for free.

The Shades of Purple Set is also available. It costs $1.99.

Assuming you have SpotPass enabled, you should be seeing a new message and the DLC.

The 2D side-scrolling action game Icey is heading to Switch, FantaBlade Network has announced. It was first made known in a tweet published on the official Twitter account earlier today.

Icey originally released last year, and has been very well received. Learn more about the game below with an official overview and trailer.

Even though Wii U isn’t in the spotlight these days, the system’s eShop has been seeing a consistent stream of Virtual Console titles. Bomberman ’93 should be another game that will be appearing soon. It has been rated by the ESRB, suggesting that a release is on the horizon.

Usually it takes a few weeks for games to show up once they’ve been rated. We’ll probably be seeing Bomberman ’93 within the next month or two.

Final Fantasy Ultimania Archive Volume 1 looks to cover the first six entries in the Final Fantasy series. It contains concept art, process pieces, and notes from the original artists and designers in over 300 pages.

A box image has surfaced for the Z-Power Ring. On the packaging, we’re able to see that Mimikium Z will be present in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon. That tells us that Mimikyu will have a Z-Move in the two games.

Unfortunately, that’s all we have to go on currently. No specifics on the actual move just yet.

The Wall Street Journal published a rather interesting article yesterday. The publication talked about mature / risqué games on Switch, and how Nintendo is very open to having these types of games on the console. Although the full piece is behind a paywall, we do have some excerpts.

Each one of these blogs updates cover various topics about the games. With Skyrim for example, Nintendo talks about comparisons to Zelda: Breath of the Wild and more.
