Digital Foundry has taken an extensive look at the Super NES Classic Edition. The site’s report is based on the European version, but all units are essentially the same – just with slightly different designs.

First, similar to the NES Mini, the SNES Classic Edition only outputs at 720p. That makes sense though based on the way games used to run.

Players are encountering a strange glitch with the Switch version of FIFA 18. When it occurs, faces don’t load, and the default model face is swapped in. Early reports suggest that the bug doesn’t appear in any other modes other than a normal match. It may happen when downloading a squad update, and turning on live form.

This video shows the glitch in action:

We imagine that EA will patch the glitch soon – hopefully anyway.

Last week, Konami announced a new update for Super Bomberman R. The company is adding Grand Prix mode as well as the Jehuty, Anubis, and Reiko Hinomoto Bombers. More information has been shared about the update in recent days.

First, here’s an official overview of Grand Prix mode from Konami:

Square Enix held a special session for Project Octopath Traveler at the Tokyo Game Show last week. Nothing new was on display as only the demo was shown, but developers were on hand to speak about the game.

Among what was discussed was why it took so long for Project Octopath Traveler to resurface following the announcement in January, where the game is at in terms of development, and more. You can find the full rundown below, courtesy of Reddit’s scottwo.

A nice chunk of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 gameplay was shown during a session at EGX a few days ago. Have a look at the full recording below.

With Nintendo handling publishing, Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters landed in North America and Europe on Friday. Check out some footage of the new version below.

The latest issue of Famitsu has shared a listing of the top 30 best-selling games in Japan for the month of August 2017. You can check out the full results below.

A Kickstarter campaign for Claws of Furry just wrapped up yesterday. The action game, in which you go on a mission to save your abducted Ninja Master and fight enemies in beat’em up fashion, even had a Switch stretch goal. Unfortunately though, developer Terahard fell well short of its £10,000 target.

The one bright spot is that Terahard intends to develop Claws of Fury for Switch despite the fact that the Kickstarter didn’t achieve successful funding. A release in January is currently planned.

As for the game itself, here’s an overview:

Claws of Furry creates a blend of today’s fast pace action with classic arcade Beat’em up badassery. With a leveling system of over 40 skills and multiple modes, from Rogue-like to Arena, it’s up to the players how they build their Ninja Cat and what adventure they will follow. Fear not the rogue-like though; the character progress is not lost, since the skills that are unlocked transfer to each new character, making the player’s cat stronger in every playthrough. Still you don’t like rogue-like? We got you covered, with the Pussycat mode you can play the game with checkpoints in every level, in a classic linear adventure. This will not make it much easier though, fast reflexes and a keen eye are required in order to survive the journey to free your Master. You don’t have to take this journey alone though; you can have a group of up to four people in local co-op!

And a trailer:

We’ve seen footage of Doom running on Switch, but only with off-screen videos. Fortunately, some screenshots have appeared giving us a clear look in direct-feed. Take a look at the images below.
