Another look into ARMS’ lore
Posted on 7 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in Images, Switch | 1 Comment
Last week, the ARMS Twitter account shared a fun look into the lore of the world, and today they’ve revealed a couple more tidbits.
It is said that the number of people who have the talent of extendable arms is increasing – currently, 2% of the world’s population have that ability. That is only the official number, though, and it is likely there are more people with the ability who haven’t been reported. As we learned the last time, this ability has been around in the world of ARMS for millennia, so it has mostly been seen as something ancient and rare, though lately people with the ARMS capability have become the subject of adoration, thanks to the increased spotlight they’re in thanks to the ARMS Grand-Prix.

Splatoon 2 tracks assists, number of times you used your special
Posted on 7 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in Screenshots, Switch | 2 Comments
Splatoon 2 is getting some nice quality-of-life additions. The official Splatoon Twitter account revealed that the game now tracks assists, i.e. team member’s contributions to a splat. The number of splats each player does doesn’t really matter in Splatoon compared to most other shooters, but it’s still nice that the game is tracking such a teamwork-oriented stat. If you get an assist, the icon displayed on screen is a circle, instead of the usual spiked/pointy shape.
In addition to that, the game also tracks how often you used your special during a match and displays that number on the results screen at the end.

Nintendo trademarks Japanese version of Virtual Boy Wario Land
Posted on 7 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in General Nintendo, News | 4 Comments
Well, this certainly came out of nowhere: Nintendo (specifically, Nintendo Co, Ltd) has grabbed a trademark for “Awazon no Hihou”, which is the subtitle of the Japanese version of the Virtual Boy Wario Land game. In addition, they also trademarked “DS Kondate Zenshuu”, which is the subtitle of the Japan-only Nintendo DS cooking sim Kenkou Ouen Recipe 1000.
The timing is obviously peculiar since E3 is currently going on, but remember that this doesn’t necessarily mean anything. Nintendo registers new trademarks and renews old ones constantly, so don’t take this as a confirmation of a Virtual Boy Virtual Console or something.
