Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 – Xenoverse 1 story DLC free for the first month of release

Just like in Japan, Bandai Namco is including content from the first Dragon Ball Xenoverse in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for Switch and offering it in in the west. The process of gaining access is just slightly different.
For the Japanese release, Bandai Namco had the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 1 content built right in. Once you cleared certain sections of the story in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, you’re able to access segments from the original by talking to a particular NPC. But from what we understand, for the western version, you first need to download the a pack from the eShop.

Next week, in conjunction with the Super NES Classic Edition, Prima will be publishing a special guide. It’ll come in two flavor: the standard version and a collector’s edition.
Over on its Twitter page, Prima offered a first look at the collector’s edition, including the slipcase. We’re also able to get a look inside the book itself. Check out the full video below.

Doom has a 720p resolution on Switch in both docked and portable modes

Bethesda has slowly rolled out information about Doom’s performance on Switch. Yesterday we found out that the game runs at 30 frames per second, at least officially anyway. Rolling Stone, who shared that information, managed to obtain some additional details from Bethesda as well.
First, Doom’s resolution is 720p on Switch. That’s regardless of which mode you’re playing in – docked or portable. Both are the same.
Bethesda also says that Doom won’t have any motion controls on Switch. The functionality is being added for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, but it won’t be present in Doom.
Witch & Hero III coming to 3DS, series surpasses 150,000 downloads

Witch & Hero III is in development for 3DS, Flyhigh Works has revealed. The title is slated for later this year in Japan. If we had to guess, Circle Entertainment will localize the game at some point.
Little is known about Witch & Hero III currently. The image above simply says that the little witch has been kidnapped. Join forces with three people, and annihilate enemies with the power of bonds.
Also announces is that the Witch & Hero series has sold over 150,000 units.

Atlus to have news about Shin Megami Tensei for Switch on October 23

At the Tokyo Game Show today, Atlus announced that an update regarding the new Shin Megami Tensei game for Switch will be shared next month. News pertaining to the HD project will drop on October 23, the company confirmed. Nothing else was said about the game, so we’ll simply need to wait until that day for further details.
Critically acclaimed Inside coming to Switch

Inside, which has received much praise from both the media and players, is heading to Switch. Director Arnt Jensen revealed the news to Famitsu. That’s all the information we have at present, but the announcement itself is huge.
Inside is Playdead’s second project following Limbo, which was also well received. The title has players controlling a boy in different ways, exploring dark environments, and taking on platforming / puzzle gameplay.

A release date has not yet been announced for the Switch version of Inside. We’ll keep an eye out for Famitsu’s full interview for any additional details.
Fire Emblem Heroes – Tempest Trials: Moment of Fate now live

A new set of Tempest Trials has started in Fire Emblem Heroes under the name “Moment of Fate”. You can battle your way to the final map and participate in daily quests.
The new Tempest Trials ends on October 7. Beginning September 30, the rewards for daily quests will double. You can also receive an Orb up to ten times through log-in bonuses throughout the duration of the Tempest Trials event.

My Nintendo adds Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 wallpaper in North America

In celebration of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s launch on Switch, My Nintendo has added a new North American reward. You can nab the wallpaper pictured above here. It costs 50 Platinum Points.
The wallpaper can be used with a PC, smartphone, or tablet. You’ll have until March 2018 to redeem the reward, assuming you’re interested.

Lost Sphear demo out in Japan next week, original soundtrack coming

Square Enix is planning a demo for Lost Sphear ahead of its Japanese release on October 12. Announced at the Tokyo Game Show today, the trial version will begin distribution in Japan starting next week.
Players who try out the demo can carry save data over to the full game. As for its contents, fans can experience the early parts of the RPG.
Square Enix also intends to put out a two-disc original soundtrack for Lost Sphear. It’s due out in Japan on November 22 for 2,500 yen. Check out a trailer for the soundtrack below.
