Nintendo confirms that Project Giant Robot has been scrapped

Shigeru Miyamoto brought Project Giant Robot to E3 a few years ago. However, it’s not surfaced since then. Nintendo had continually listed the game on its release schedules, but it was no longer present on the latest document published yesterday.
Nintendo has now confirmed to Polygon that Project Giant Robot has been cancelled, which shouldn’t be too surprising. The company explained, “we made this decision after considering our overall product and development strategy.”

With just a month to go until launch, Famitsu has coverage on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The magazine recaps previously-known information about gameplay, but also shares new details on characters.
As many of you know, voice acting is featured in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The characters appearing in the game will also be very individualistic. Familiar races in the series like the Zoras and Gorons can also be spotted.

The members of Team 4D won the Great British Splat Off last summer, and they are eager to give their thoughts on the Switch’s handheld mode, viability of the Splat Roller, the new Special weapons, thoughts on the Pro Controller, and more. Square Enix sent out a new information batch about Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 Professional. Today’s content covers the World of Incarnus, an area in the game with a new story inhabited by divine monsters known as Incarnus. Find the details rounded up below along with new screenshots courtesy of Gematsu.
– The protagonist has saved Break World from crisis and safely taken back the memories he lost
– One day, he meets a mysterious creature named Tico that resembles a young bird
– Led by Tico, you arrive at the “World of Incarnus”
– This is a place where Incarnus live
– This opens the curtains on a new adventure set in the world inhabited by Inacrnus, monsters said to belong to the lineage of gods
– Visit the World of Incarnus with Tico
– A new story will unfold in this land of magical atmosphere
– The ecosystem in this world is different from that of Break World; monsters are huge
– All items are huge as well
– Since they’re so big, you can get a lot of items all at once
– There seems to be dangerous areas where monsters fight against each other in the World of Incarnus
– Use your drone to explore and witness the full impact battle up close

Nintendo reveals Switch Super Bowl LI commercial

REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– For the first time ever, Nintendo will run an ad during the Super Bowl. The 30-second spot, which along with an extended 90-second version can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/nintendo, builds on the worldwide excitement for the new Nintendo Switch video game system and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game, both of which launch March 3. The ad also features a new song by Imagine Dragons called “Believer” that premiered worldwide Jan. 31.
The star of the ad, which is scheduled to run during the game’s fourth quarter on Feb. 5, is Nintendo Switch, which combines the power of a home console with the mobility of a hand-held video game system. People can play on their TVs at home, then grab Nintendo Switch and continue playing seamlessly wherever they go.
Nintendo to release 2-3 mobile games per year, could work with a company other than DeNA

Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima delivered an update on the company’s mobile plans during a financial results today.
According to Kimishima, 2-3 titles will be produced each year. He also said that DeNA’s efforts allows for these games to be possible. However, Kimishima wouldn’t deny the possibility of asking support from other companies in the future.
When Nintendo announced its partnership with DeNA back in 2015, the big N bought a 10 percent stake in DeNA. DeNA meanwhile purchased 1.24 percent of Nintendo. The two sides have been working together exclusively on Nintendo’s mobile efforts since then.

Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop heading west in April

Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop originally debuted in Japan back in 2014. In just a couple of months, it will finally be releasing in the west.
Rising Star Games is partnering with Office Create on the localization of Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop. It’s coming to USA, Canada, South America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Middle East in April.
