GetClose has now been approved for release on the Wii U eShop, developer Wombat Source has confirmed.

The studio wrote on Twitter earlier today:

GetClose was originally targeted for an October launch. The game’s Twitter profile now lists November, so we’ll probably see the title either next week or the following week.

Toys “R” Us will be running a slight deal on amiibo figures next week. If you buy three, you’ll be able to get them for $30.

amiibo figures will typically be priced at $12.99 (not sure why the ad above lists $13.99). So by taking advantage of the Toys “R” Us deal, you’ll save nearly $10.

The deals shown above will technically begin on November 16, and will last through November 22. But since amiibo isn’t launching until November 21, you’ll only have a couple of days to take advantage of the sale.

The New 3DS and DSi are very comparable products in their nature. Neither system is a true leap to the next generation of Nintendo handheld hardware, but both act as notable upgrades over their predecessors. Given how similar the New 3DS and DSi are – at least in their purpose – it’s interesting to see just how similarly the two systems have sold in Japan thus far.

The New 3DS and New 3DS XL have sold over 500,000 units in five weeks, according to sales tracker Media Create. As it turns out, this was the same case for DSi. That system released on November 1, 2008 and sold over 500,000 units in five weeks.

Pier Solar HD already launched in North America last week, but our friends in Europe are still waiting on the game. Thankfully, it appears that the wait won’t be much longer.

The European Wii U eShop is listing a November 27 release date for Pier Solar HD. It will be available or €12.49.
