Mutant Mudds 3DS update causing issues, but they can be fixed

Mutant Mudds’ 3DS update is finally out today, but it seems to be causing issues for users. On the bright side, they can be dealt with easily enough.
Players have reported problems pertaining to the diamond and collectible count. Additionally, switching between the game’s two characters on the front screen after unlocking the “Grannie” content is not possible… or so many initially thought.
All can be fixed by beating the first level. That’s all. Just access your save final and complete the first Ghost stage. You’ll see an unexpected end credit teaser, but everything should then be fixed. Hopefully Renegade Kid will produce an official patch in the near future.

Bayonetta 2 multiplayer to offer “a range of powerful characters”

Bayonetta 2’s multiplayer will let you play as multiple characters, according to the game’s website.
A notice posted on the European page states:
“Choose from a range of powerful characters, and give angels and demons a beating that’s as brutal as it is beautiful.”
Bayonetta and Jeanne have already been confirmed for the game’s multiplayer known as “Infinite Tag Climax”. Who else might be included?

Nintendo patents eye tracking to enhance gameplay

Back in early March, Nintendo filed a patent in the US for something called “Eye Tracking Enabling 3D Viewing on Conventional 2D Display”. The filing was only just made public today.
This latest patent deals with eye tracking – mainly through 3D glasses – and how it can enhance gameplay.
Here’s the patent abstract:
The exemplary illustrative non-limiting technology herein enables 3D viewing on conventional 2D displays such as home television sets by tracking a person’s viewpoint. Detecting a player’s viewpoint movement to change the viewing of the displayed object gives the illusion that the object is physically present in three-dimensional space. Viewpoint movement detection can provide collision-related game logic benefits such as allowing a player to dodge projectiles, giving a game character an ability to “see” the player when not behind line-of-sight obstacles, and other advantages.
