A significant update is coming soon to Steel Diver: Sub Wars, producer Tadashi Sugiyama revealed on Miiverse today.
First, the patch will address errors players have been encountering since launch – error codes [018-0501], [018-0502], and [018-0506]. Network connectivity as a whole will also be improved.
Sub Wars’ upcoming update will additionally add several fan-requested features.

Shovel Knight pushed back a few weeks
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News, Wii U eShop | 4 Comments
Yacht Club Games is delaying Shovel Knight by “a few weeks”. In a Kickstarter update, the studio stressed that it’s not “a major delay”, nor is it “a long one”. Rather, “it’s simply a stretch of time to get everything polished and aligned.”
Yacht Club wrote in a Kickstarter update:
So, we hemmed and hawed, and made a Super Important Executive Decision. This update is to let everyone know that Shovel Knight will be missing March 31 by a few weeks to make sure it’s a world class experience, and can release on all platforms simultaneously. This isn’t a major delay, or a long one; it’s simply a stretch of time to get everything polished and aligned. While major development is quickly drawing to a close, there are still some external factors, like submission preparation, which need a little bit more breathing room before the game goes live.
A new release date hasn’t been determined as of now. However, fans can expect news “soon.”
Here’s a roundup of what Yacht Club is currently working on:
- Dialogue and scripted events are being finalized
- Finishing touches put on level design for the final levels
- Overall game balancing
- Platform specific standards so everything runs smoothly on your system of choice!
- Testing, testing, testing… on all platforms!

Extended maintenance for the Wii U and 3Ds eShops were scheduled for tomorrow. Now though, it looks like this is no longer planned. Nintendo has updated its official network status page which does not the eShop downtime.
There is maintenance slated for a pair of Nintendo titles tomorrow, however. Online elements for Wii Sports Club will be unavailable between 6 PM PT and 7 PM PT, while Steel Diver: Sub Wars will be affected between 5 PM PT and 6 PM PT.
Thanks to LetsPlayWiiU for the tip.

Insanity’s Blade is a possibility for 3DS, Casual Bit Games bringing another title to Wii U
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Insanity’s Blade is currently in the works for Wii U. Casual Bit Games may end up bringing it to the 3DS eShop as well, though that would happen further down the line.
Causal Bit founders/directors Chris Obritsch and Daven Bigelow told Nintendo Life:
Chris Obritsch: I’d love to say yes, but this is a very up in the air. It will have to be developed separately from what we’ve done so far. We’ll see further down the road if this is an option.
Daven Bigelow: I sure hope we can get on 3DS, that would be awesome.
Going back to the topic of Wii U, Casual Bit Games has another title planned for the console. Obritsch said the following when asked about future support:
Yes we do — Insanity’s Blade has a long storyline. We will probably split it up into three games. We’ll see. The other game we have in the works is being developed with the Wii U in mind so we are looking forward to showing that one to the public a little more after we have it cleaned up. Right now the alpha version is on the back burner until Insanity’s Blade is completed — since there are only two of us working on the code and GFX!
