Ruin Raiders

Ruin Raiders, an anthropomorphic turn-based tactical roguelike, will soon be heading to Switch. Publisher Freedom Games and developer OverPowered Team have announced that the title is scheduled for October 14 on the console.

Freedom Games describes Ruin Raiders as “a turn-based tactical roguelike where you guide squads on a mission to explore an ancient, ever-shifting civilization.” Players will explore ruins, demon-infested depths, and other areas. Since it’s procedurally generated, you experience will be different each time you play.

Critadel release date

After it was previously announced in August, publisher Nicalis and developer Pixelian Studio today announced the release date for Critadel. The 2D action game will be available on October 13.

pokemon go community day Duskull

Niantic has shared first information about the next Pokemon GO Community Day, which will feature Duskull. The event is set to be held on October 9 worldwide. It’ll be 11 AM to 5 PM local time.

Of course, the main point of Pokemon GO Community Day is to put the emphasis on a particular creature, and this time it’s Duskull. You’ll be able to encounter the Pokemon more frequently in the wild, and there’s a small chance of a Shiny version popping up. If you evolve Dusclops (Duskull’s Evolution) during the event or up to two hours afterward, you’ll receive a Dusknoir that knows the Charged Attack Shadow Ball.

A Juggler's Tale

Publisher Mixtvision Games and developer Kaleidoscube have set a release date for A Juggler’s Tale, their new 3D side-scrolling adventure game. The Switch title is slated for a digital release on September 29.

A Juggler’s Tale was first announced for Switch in March 2020. Outside of a general 2021 launch window, we hadn’t heard anything else about when the game would be available.

Crash Bandicoot anniversary

Crash Bandicoot is celebrating its 25th anniversary today. The series first began on September 9, 1996 as part of the original platformer on PlayStation.

While there’s no new game in sight, Activision is at least recognizing the milestone with a new video published today. In it, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time developer Paul Yan and Avery Lodato from Toys for Bob look back on the series.

hot wheels unleashed customization

Mattel and Milestone have issued the latest trailer for Hot Wheels Unleashed that provides a first look at customization.

With the Livery Editor, players will be able to customize their cars. Start out by applying colors and shapes to Hot Wheels Originals and Real Manufacturer cars. After that, it’s possible to share creations with the world or download the best ones from the community.

Pico Park update

Pico Park has been on Switch for over two years, but the game has now received a pretty notable update. Starting today, players can participate in online play.

Pico Park did support multiplayer previously, but only locally. After installing the free update, you’ll be able to cooperate online with others.

Fisti-Fluffs release date

Fisti-Fluffs, a physics-based party game, has finally resurfaced with an actual release date and trailer. You’ll be able to pick it up in just a couple of weeks.

The title was previously announced for Switch last December. Originally, it was planned for an early 2021 launch. That didn’t come to be, but publisher Rogue Games and developer Playfellow Studio have now confirmed that it will be released on September 23.

Fisti-Fluffs has you playing as a cat and battling others as you destroy environments (six in total) in frenetic over-the-top fights. The game works alone, but multiplayer is where the real fun comes in, and up to four people can duke it out in brawls. A few different game modes are planned, including Tussle, Crown Control, Destruction, Party, and Kibble Defense. There are other features such as the ability to customize cats, a built-in camera mode to take shareable screenshots, and more.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania SEGA Legends

In a new trailer today, the special SEGA Legends DLC was introduced for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania.

As we’ve seen over the past several weeks, you’ll be able to take control of various characters that go beyond the traditional monkeys. But you’ll actually be able to use classic SEGA consoles as playable characters as well. These include the Dreamcast, Saturn, and Game Gear.
