LEGO Marvel Super Heroes rated for possible Switch release

The original LEGO Marvel Super Heroes could be making its way to Switch. That’s based on a new rating from the ESRB, which added in the database listing this week.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 came to Switch in 2017. Wii U received the first entry back in 2013, but it never found its way to Nintendo’s current console.

Suikoden creator would be open to revisiting the series

Suikoden came to be thanks to the ideas from Yoshitaka Murayama. He acted as director, producer, and writer on the series’ initial releases, but he also worked on later entries as well. Murayama ended up leaving Konami around two decades ago, but he’s not opposed to revisiting the series.
Speaking with Nintendo Everything, Murayama mentioned that the new JRPG Eiyuden Chronicle is his current focus and the fact that he’s in complete control of the IP is certainly a plus. At the same time, he would be “more than happy to work on another Suikoden game if the chance presented itself in the future.”

Yak & Co has announced that its puzzle-adventure game Down in Bermuda is on the way to Switch. A release is planned for January 14.

Virtuos says it has a dedicated Switch team, talks developing for TV / handheld modes and company’s porting strengths

In a previous interview with Automaton Media, key developers from Virtuos (Andy Fong and Lukas Codr) sat down to detail their porting process for Switch games. Keen readers might recognize the studio’s name from the likes of Dark Souls: Remastered, BioShock: The Collection, XCOM 2 Collection, and more.
During the interview, Virtuos confirmed that the studio has a dedicated team to work on Switch projects. The developers also spoke about developing for TV / handheld modes and where the company’s strengths lie when it comes to handling Switch ports.

ITTA getting a physical release

Today, Super Rare Games announced a parntership with Glass Revolver and Armor Games Studio on a physical release of ITTA. The bullet-hell, boss rush adventure title will be offered in standard and steelbook forms.
5,000 copies will be produced in total. There’ll be 3,000 units for the standard edition and another 2,000 for the steelbook version.
Pre-orders open on January 7 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM in the UK / 7 PM in Europe. Super Rare Games will be selling copies here.

Nintendo kicks off 2021 New Year Sale on the European Switch eShop

To celebrate the start of 2021, Nintendo has gone live with a New Year Sale on the European Switch eShop. Pokemon Masters EX Season’s Greetings event live now

Pokemon Masters EX has added new content today including new Sync Pairs and a new Story Event.
The new Sync Pairs are the 5-star Sync Pairs of Lance & Gyrados, and Lillie & Ribombee. They are available as part of a Seasonal Scout until January 14.
The newest Story Event will follow Lance and Lillie as they try to collect New Years cards to send to friends, and adds new Special Missions. This Story event will be available until January 14.
