Nintendo revealing a new way to play with Switch later today

You can see here that Nintendo’s Japanese website has posted something strange.
With the combined power of Google Translate and common sense, below is a translation of the page’s message:
2018.1.18 7:00
On January 18, 2018 [Thursday] we will introduce “New play” using Nintendo Switch at 7:00 on this page.
This was cryptic indeed, until Nintendo UK threw their hats in too. They have a similar page, and it says the following:
10PM UK time
Tune in to discover a new interactive experience for Nintendo Switch that’s specifically crafted for kids and those who are kids at heart.
It seems from the UK’s message that news on the rumored Nintendo Direct is out of the picture. However, something is coming in the next twelve hours. Stay tuned, as we will keep you updated if more information arrives.

The Gal*Gun series is… an interesting one. For those of you who don’t know, you control a male protagonist who has somehow become incredibly popular with every anime girl in sight. Of course, you’re looking for your one true love, so you have to fend off these hordes of women through giving them euphoria by shooting them with your… pheromone gun.
Yep!
Anyway, below is a newly released video for the Switch version. It’s headed to the Switch in spring 2018 for North America and Europe. Enjoy!

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp: Rover’s Garden Safari event now live

Update: Round two of the Rover’s Garden Safari event is now live.

A new event is now live in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. It features Rover and it is called Rover’s Garden Safari. The event is a two part event with the first part beginning now and running into January 17th, while the second part of the event will run from January 17th until January 22nd.
The description of the events explains that Rover has come to your campsite in search of hard-to-find butterflies. In order to help him, you need to grow certain flowers that can attract butterflies and then catch them for him. There is also a second set of tasks for the second part of the event, which you will still be able to complete the first set of task during this part of the event. Completing these tasks will give you event exclusive furniture and clothing.
During the event you will be able to find these rare creatures and seasonal plants:
Once the event is over, these items will then be converted into Bells.

Miitomo has been updated with new content. Players can nab the latest items in the Miitomo Drop stage, “Shredding riffs and looking cute! Pretty Punk Power #2”.
Available items include:
– Gradient bob with bangs wig
– Short leather jacket + punk shirt
– Punk rock skirt + plaid sash belt
– Studded backpack
Users can select Miitomo Drop stages from the Shop tab. Miitomo coins or game tickets are needed to play.

No cross-platform play for Dark Souls: Remastered

Bandai Namco has ruled out cross-play for Dark Souls: Remastered. Some have speculated that the feature would be included, allowing players across different platforms to connect online. However, we now know that the functionality won’t be a part of the package.
Dark Souls: Remastered releases on May 25 for Switch. The Artorias of the Abyss DLC will be included at no extra charge.
