Zerodiv bringing Zero Gunner 2 to Switch soon, other arcade games to follow
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch eShop | 5 Comments
Zerodiv brought Strikers 1945 and Gunbarich to Switch last month. The company outlined other arcade ports heading to the console in a blog post today.
The next game we can expect on Switch is the 3D shooter Zero Gunner 2, which will be out sooner rather than later. An entry in the Sengoku series will follow next, then a game from the Gunbird and Strikers 1945 franchises this year as well.
We should also note that Zerodiv has plans that go beyond ports. It sounds like the developer is cooking up something original as well.

Intelligent Systems says experience from Fire Emblem Heroes will help with work on future games
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Mobile, News | 31 Comments
Intelligent Systems has been making Fire Emblem games for many, many years. However, with Fire Emblem Heroes, the studio had to rethink its approach somewhat. Intelligent Systems and Nintendo weren’t just going to take the gameplay as is and plop it on to mobile devices as is.
That unique experience of working on Fire Emblem Heroes will help Intelligent Systems moving forward. That’s according to Kouhei Maeda, one of the game’s directors.
Maeda recently told IGN:
“What we’ve learned from working on Fire Emblem Heroes will really help us as we work on future games. As we’re working on future games, we’re thinking about what is it that fans want and what is it fans like, and we’re able to look at the data we get from Fire Emblem Heroes [and apply that].”
Thanks to Johnathan for the tip.
SteamWorld Dig 2 sales off to a very strong start on Switch
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch eShop | 6 Comments
SteamWorld Dig 2 has only been out for a few days, so it’s tough to make too much out of the game’s sales thus far. But with that said, it seems Image & Form is very happy with its performance thus far.
When one fan asked about SteamWorld Dig 2’s sales on Twitter, the developer responded:
I can't (or won't, doesn't matter) divulge actual figures, but #SWD2 has started way, way better than both the original Dig and SW Heist. ->
— Image & Form Games (@ImageForm) September 24, 2017
-> We have seen only the first-day sales on Switch… when we first saw the figures, we were sure we were reading them incorrectly. But…!!
— Image & Form Games (@ImageForm) September 24, 2017
This is definitely encouraging to hear. Hopefully SteamWorld Dig 2 continues to sell in the weeks and months to come.
