Posted on 8 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
All of Animal Crossing: New Leaf’s online services will undergo maintenance early next week. Here are the exact times:
- 6 PM PT (October 31st) – 8 PM PT (October 31st)
- 9 PM ET (October 31st) – 11 PM ET (October 31st)
- 2 AM in the UK (November 1st) – 4 AM in the UK (November 1st)
- 3 AM in Europe (November 1st) – 5 AM in Europe November 1st
Given that next week, a special Animal Crossing-focused Nintendo Direct will air on November 2nd, it seems likely that this maintenance is to prepare for the big update that was announced earlier this year, which, among other things, will add amiibo support to New Leaf. The update will probably go live after the Direct.

Nvidia stands to make $320 million a year from Nintendo Switch

After rumors claimed Nvida was working with Nintendo to provide a processor on what was then known as the NX, it has recently been confirmed that Nvidia is indeed the partner responsible for creating the processor for the Switch and stands to make $320 million annually from the partnership.
Jefferies & Co.’s Mark Lipacis shared his analysis of Nvidia stock today. On the subject of what the partnership between Nvidia and Nintendo could result in, Lipacis had this to say:
While Nintendo has been largely uncompetitive against the Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox, we think the Switch has the potential to see more shipments. There are very few details on the price point, but we think the Wii and Wii U case studies are instructive. In the first 12 months of launch, Wii shipped 13m units and the Wii U shipped 4m units. Assuming 5-8 million units at a $40 ASP for Tegra translates to $200-320m in revenues and $0.11-0.16 in EPS.

Dragon Ball producer on why Dragon Ball Fusions was created
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Dragon Ball Fusions isn’t your typical Dragon Ball game. These days, especially in the west, the franchise is more connected with fighting. Fusions is much different in both its art style and approach to gameplay with a focus on the RPG genre.
Dragon Ball producer Masayuki Hirano recently spoke to GameReactor about what the developers set out to achieve with Fusions. About this, he explained:
“This game was mainly focusing on kids in Japan who liked Dragon Ball, and we noticed that there are a lot of kids who like for example Pokemon or Yo-kai Watch. These adventuring RPG aspects are really loved by kids, so that’s one of the reasons why we decided to create Dragon Ball Fusions. Another thing is that when you talk about a Dragon Ball game, it gives the player an impression that it’s a fighting game, so then we thought is there other ways to enjoy Dragon Ball games, so that’s how we came up with Dragon Ball Fusions.”
Dragon Ball Fusions is heading to North America on December 13 and February 2017 in Europe.
