Yo-kai Watch 2 rated in Australia
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Yo-kai Watch 2 is only available in Japan at the moment. This will change once both versions head to North America on September 30, but what about the rest of the world?
While there hasn’t been an announcement yet, it seemed like a certain bet that Nintendo would eventually bring Yo-kai Watch 2 to Europe and Australia. And thanks to a classification from the latter continent, it’s now all but confirmed. RatingsĀ for Yo-kai Watch 2 have appeared in Australia. Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls were both added to the database today. Guess Nintendo will have something to say soon!
Thanks to Jose for the tip.

Pokemon GO tops 75 million downloads
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Mobile, News | 10 Comments
Pokemon GO has now topped 75 million downloads worldwide, according to a Sensor Tower report.
Over the weekend, it surpassed 50 million installs on Google Play alone. Pokemon GO is the fastest game to reach that mark (19 days) plus “the fastest to that milestone ever for combined worldwide iOS and Android downloads.”
This chart shows how Pokemon GO won out the race to 50 million downloads on mobile:
Sensor Tower also mentions that Pokemon GO is at the number one spot for downloads in revenue in all available App Store territories. That includes France and Hong Kong – two regions that just recently received the app.

Take-Two are “believers” in Nintendo, feeling “pretty enthusiastic” about NX
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News, Switch | 33 Comments
Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, has once again weighed in on NX. When asked about Nintendo’s upcoming hardware, Zelnick shared the following:
“We’re believers. We never want to count Nintendo out. They do it over and over and over again. So we feel pretty enthusiastic actually.”
Zelnick also commented on Nintendo’s position n the console race. On that topic, he had this to say:
“It’s not a slump, it’s intentional. They come to market, they do really well, and then they sort of exit the market for a period of time. They’ve been doing it for like 150 years, and that company has been doing the same thing… They’re really thoughtful, they come to market with something they really think is going to work, more often than not it really works, it blows up and then eventually they let it decline and they move on to the next thing. They don’t mind having time in between.”
We heard similar comments from Zelnick last month, as he said Take-Two is “very interested” in NX.
Did Square Enix consider a Treasure Planet World for Kingdom Hearts 3D?
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, Videos | 5 Comments
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance originally came to 3DS in 2012. Even though it’s been four years since then, fans have stumbled upon a potentially interesting discovery.
OmegaErkz streamed a variety of areas from Kingdom Hearts 3D on YouTube yesterday – see below. At the 2:53:20 minute mark, there’s an unused location made up of 11 rooms (maps, areas) that seems to be based on Treasure Planet.
Although some may assume that it could be a demo version of the Captain Hook ship from past Kingdom Hearts titles, this looks quite different. It also doesn’t quite match up entirely with the ship from the movie. If that wasn’t enough, code from this group of assets has the title “tp”. Maps from other Kingdom Hearts releases has area codes such as “tt” for Twilight Town or “pl” for Pride Lands. Also remember that Square Enix has left over unused content in the past.
Here’s the full stream recording from OmegaErkz:
