Little Devil Inside

Back in 2015, Neostream announced its action adventure RPG Little Devil Inside, and successfully raised funding through Kickstarter, which included a Wii U stretch goal. We then heard at the end of 2017 that the team had interest in bringing the game to Switch. After falling off the radar, it finally resurfaced last month with a brand new trailer.

That’s only a part of the story. Little Devil Inside was re-revealed during the PS5 showcase with the video indicating that it will only be on PlayStation platforms at launch. This upset some fans, including those that originally backed the game for Wii U.

Balan Wonderworld

Square Enix has shared new information about the 3D action-platformer Balan Wonderworld. Information has been provided about the game’s premise, costumes feature, story, and characters.

Here’s the full rundown:

Paper Mario: The Origami King

Paper Mario: The Origami King released in Japan last week, and Famitsu reported that the game sold 109,000 copies in its first few days. We now have a chart comparing the debut for every Paper Mario game in Japan (including Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam since it features that character).

Here’s the full chart ranked by first week sales:

Void Bastards

A physical version of Void Bastards is happening, Amazon and GameStop listings reveal. The retailers have the strategy-shooter listed for September 18. Pricing is set at $29.99.

Void Bastards was added to the Switch eShop back in May. That was after the original launch on other platforms a year prior.

You can pre-order the physical version of Void Bastards on Amazon here or GameStop here.

Paper Mario: The Origami King

Yoshito Sekigawa is a name that Nintendo fans may be unaware of, but he’s been with the company for almost two decades. One of Sekigawa’s earliest and most notable roles was for Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door as he was only one of two staffers credited for that game’s music. Sekigawa did some sound work for Sticker Star and Color Splash, but finally returned to the series in a major way for its latest release.

In the credits for Paper Mario: The Origami King, it’s revealed that Sekigawa was the sound director / composition lead. He was also one of the people involved with composition. Essentially, what all of this means is that Sekigawa led the way on The Origami King’s music, and he contributed tunes to a Paper Mario game for the first Paper Mario game since The Thousand-Year Door.

Thanks to Jake for the tip.

Cadence of Hyrule

Alongside Cadence of Hyrule’s first DLC drop this week, the game was updated to version 1.2.0. Brace Yourself Games implemented a new game modifier, a number of changes, bug fixes, and more.

Below are the full patch notes:

Eiyuden Chronicle

Eiyuden Chronicle will be launching on Kickstarter next week. The game comes from Rabbit & Bear Studios, which includes staff members behind Suikoden and more. For those curious about what the plan is as far as supporting Nintendo is concerned, we received clarification straight from the developer.

The initial goal for Eiyuden Chronicle will be for PC. However, a console stretch goal will be visible on the official Kickstarter page, which will list “Nintendo next-generation”.

Balan Wonderworld

After announcing the 3D action-platformer Balan Wonderworld yesterday, Square Enix has put out a Switch-specific trailer. It largely features the same scenes from the original video, but there are subtle changes to the visuals. A comparison video will likely appear in due time, but for now, watch the Switch trailer below.
