[Nintendo Everything Podcast] – episode #23 – Give Me Labo VR Metroid!
Posted on 5 years ago by Oni Dino(@Oni_Dino) in Podcast, Switch | 0 comments
Hello, you beautiful Shy Guys and Shy Girls! This week on NEP, please excuse Oni’s sick voice… BUT! The gang has several great discussions you’ll want to hear. This includes Best Buy leaking games allegedly via their website, which Galen provides some extra insight on, as he used to be a terrible employee back in the day. We then discuss Labo VR and muse over what future ways Labo could be used (Oni freaks over Metroid). We then get a little heavy as we find ourselves talking about the games industry and publishers capitalizing on the social phenomenon of FOMO.
Thank you for listening! Please help the show grow by sharing the podcast with someone you think might enjoy.

2019 started off with the announcement of Panty Party for Switch. Publisher Cosen provided an update on the game at Tokyo Sandbox earlier today.
According to the company, Panty Party should be out worldwide in late April or early May. It was previously given a general Spring 2019 release window.
We’re also hearing that Panty Party will be receiving a physical version outside of Japan. It’s not currently clear where exactly this will be – it could be in North America / Europe, but possibly Asia. Either way, some sort of physical version will exist and you’ll be able to play the game regardless of where you purchased your Switch system.

Former Criterion boss clarifies rumors that the studio was asked to make an F-Zero game for Wii U

Rumors emerged a few years ago that Criterion was asked to make a new F-Zero game on Wii U for Nintendo. Alex Ward, the studio’s founder who left back in 2014 for his own company Three Fields Entertainment, indicated soon after that the talks weren’t serious. During last week’s episode of the Game Informer Show, he clarified the situation once and for all.
When asked about those original rumors regarding Criterion and F-Zero, Ward stated:
West of Loathing dev scrapped an idea for a first-person gunfighting system

West of Loathing could have had a first-person gunfighting system. That’s according to developer Asymmetric, who shared that information in an interview with Nintendo.
Why was the first-person gunfighting idea ultimately scrapped? Asymmetric says the team “just couldn’t figure out how to make it funny enough.”

GameStop says Wolfenstein: Youngblood won’t come with a cartridge
Posted on 5 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Wolfenstein: Youngblood will be sold at retailers, but not in the way you’d expect. GameStop’s listing for the title states that a cartridge isn’t included. Instead, the box apparently contains a download code.
We don’t have any reason to doubt GameStop, but this is something Bethesda hasn’t clearly stated in the past. Those hoping for a true physical release might be out of luck here. Unless GameStop is mistaken, Bethesda won’t be selling Wolfenstein: Youngblood in cartridge form.
Thanks to JPSWITCHMANIA for the tip.
More evidence of Raiden V: Director’s Cut for Switch surfaces

Raiden V: Director’s Cut was rated for Switch in Taiwan last month. Adding on to that, the game has received its first retailer listing.
GameFly has a page up for Raiden V: Director’s Cut showing a tentative June 30 launch. You may recall that the original rating had a potential boxart, and a physical version is further supported by this listing.
We expect Raiden V: Director’s Cut to be officially announced for Switch soon.
