Following today’s Nintendo Direct presentation for March 2025, we’re publishing a dedicated post to roundup notable pre-orders. A number of new games were announced and are beginning to go up at retailers.

This post will be updated over the next couple of days with notable listings. On top of that, we’ll be putting everything into our weekly pre-order post on Sunday.

Minecraft has a new movie coming out is in exactly one week, and to promote the film, brand new DLC has been added to the game. All players can access it right now for free.

The new DLC has players going into an arcade to compete in elytra races, survive the night, and sneak into a woodland mansion. While it all can be experienced alone, you can have friends join in the fun as well. There’s also a leaderboard to keep things fresh.

Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Evolutions descriptions

New details about Mega Evolutions planned for Pokemon Legends: Z-A have allegedly leaked.

Just recently, the full list of new Mega Evolutions for the game apparently came online. Following that, we have detailed descriptions about what these forms look like.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon

The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon is in development for Nintendo Switch, NIS America and Falcom revealed today.

The RPG released in Japan and Asia last September with the subtitle Kai no Kiseki – Farewell, O Zemuria on PlayStation platforms and PC. Not only do we now know that the game is getting localized, but also that it’s getting a new Nintendo Switch version.

Xenoblade Chronicles X frame rate resolution

Digital Foundry went live with a new technical analysis going over Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, which covers things like frame rate and resolution. We also get to hear more about the changes and technical improvements Monolith Soft made to the game compared to the Wii U original.

The Hundred Line Last Defense Academy demo

The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is closing out the week with a new demo on Nintendo Switch. By visiting the Nintendo eShop page, it can be downloaded now in both North America and Europe.

The demo introduces players to the Last Defense Academy and various characters, covering the first seven days of the 100-day story. Save data can be used in the full version.

Atelier Yumia sales

Koei Tecmo and Gust revealed a milestone for Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land having announced that the game has surpassed 300,000 copies sold worldwide. That’s based on the worldwide performance across all platforms.

Koe Tecmo also said that Atelier Yumia is now the fastest-selling entry in the series.

Cassette Beasts 1.8 Sunshine update

Announced today for Cassette Beasts is that the game will be getting a new version 1.8 update. Players can access the latest drop on April 7, 2025.

The highlight here is that Sunny will become a companion character featuring a storyline, a few new monsters, the ability to record wing skins, and a new paid cosmetic DLC that add additional wing skins. Those that have finished the main story will be able to access Sunny’s quest.

Metroid Prime 4 boxart

Thanks to Nintendo, we have the official boxart for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – pictured above. A new set of screenshots have also come in.
