Nicalis has published a launch trailer for The End is Nigh, available today on Switch. Get a look at the video below.

Conquest Entertainment, Nintendo’s polish distributor in Poland, has apparently provided a bit of additional information about Bayonetta 1 and 2 for Switch.

Both games will supposedly run at 720p. That’s regardless of whether you’re playing docked or in portable mode. Also, both run at 60 frames per second.

Conquest Entertainment also said that the team behind Bayonetta 3 is similar to that of Bayonetta 2, unsurprisingly. The company did not comment on the involvement of original Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya or Yosuke Hashimoto, who directed the second title.

Starbreeze Studios and Overkill have announced a release date for Payday 2 on Switch. The cooperative first-person shooter launches in February 27 in North (and South) America. The European release will take place a bit early on February 23.

Payday 2 will be sold both physically and digitally for Switch. 505 will handle the retail release.

Nintendo of America president has shared more about the Switch’s success in an interview with Variety.

First, Reggie revealed that three games have been bought by more than 50% of Switch owners. Those games are Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Super Mario Odyssey. Splatoon 2, meanwhile, has been purchased by one in four Switch owners.

Finding the Switch in Japan still isn’t an easy process. Locating the system on store shelves isn’t really possible.

This month, Nintendo is hoping to further improve the situation. The company said today that it intends “to ship more units than ever before so that even more consumers can purchase and enjoy Nintendo Switch.”

We’ll have fresh Media Create data for the week of December 4 tomorrow. That’ll give us the latest look at how many Switch units have been sold in Japan.

Update (12/11): We’re hearing that the steelcase will be free for those who purchase a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at Best Buy next week. It will show as $59.99 on its own for those who don’t buy the game.

Original (12/10): A listing has appeared on Best Buy’s website for a new Mario Kart steelcase. Strangely, it shows a release date of December 5 and a $60 price point.

We’re not quite sure what’s going on with this listing. You can’t actually buy the steelcase at present, and $60 seems oddly high. In any case, we’ll keep tabs on the situation and will let you know if we hear anything more.
