Shikhondo - Soul Eater

Digerati has announced Shikhondo – Soul Eater for Switch. The bullet-hell shoot ’em up is coming to Switch this summer.

DeerFarm created Shikhondo – Soul Eater, which “features hypnotic barrage patterns, enemies inspired by Asian mythology, and stunning Oriental artwork.” Two-player local co-op is included.

A new Minecraft trailer has been released highlighting how users on Switch can play with others on Xbox One, Windows 10 or Mobile. View it below.

Last week, Torna – The Golden Country was announced as the big story expansion for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Monolith Soft executive director Tetsuya Takahashi has since shared more on the new content and how it came to be.

Takahashi reveals that Torna – The Golden Country was included with the team’s original prototype for the main game – or “one of the potential story candidates”. However, it was determined that the Torna content “would divert a major portion of the budget and development time we had allotted for Xenoblade Chronicles 2.” The concept was abandoned, but Takahashi still had it on his PC, and it was brought back in the form of the expansion / DLC.

The team at Minecraft has partnered with Disney and Pixar on a special Skin Pack based on The Incredibles. It’s out now on Switch and 3DS.

42 character skins are included with the DLC. You can play Minecraft as Mr Incredible, Elastigirl, Dash, Violet, and more. The source link below has a look at the various designs.

Dragon Ball FighterZ

The new Switch version of Dragon Ball FighterZ was given a September 27 release date in Japan earlier this week. In the west, Bandai Namco just confirmed that the game is launching on September 28. That date has been confirmed for both North America and Europe.

Those who pick up Dragon Ball FighterZ on Switch will be able to purchase all the extra characters already released on other platforms from day one. By pre-ordering the game, you’ll be given two gifts:

Sniper Elite 4

Rebellion hasn’t had a game on a Nintendo platform since 2012 with Sniper Elite V2. However, CEO Jason Kingsley confirmed to VG247 that the studio is in fact working on titles for the system.

Speaking with the site, Kingsley said that “Switch is a really important format to us.” But since the system doesn’t have the same kind of power as competing consoles, Rebellion isn’t merely porting its games over and is instead thinking about “new and interesting ideas.”

A new @NintendoUKVS Live: London event has been announced, which is taking place on July 28 and July 29 at the Royal Horticultural Halls. Along with tournaments, hands-on opportunities with Switch games will be available. It will also play host to the first official qualifier for the Splatoon 2 UK Championship 2018 series, as well as the first chance for folks in the UK and Ireland to go hands-on with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Victor Vran: Overkill Edition is coming to Switch on August 28, Wired Productions and Haemimont Games. A physical and digital release are both planned. Pricing is set at $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99.

The isometric action-RPG will include two-player co-op, four-player co-op online, and the inclusion of the Motörhead: Through the Ages and Fractured Worlds expansions. We have more information and a new trailer below.

Nintendo has announced that the Splatoon 2 European Championship will be held once again next year. The event will be back starting in Spring 2019.

Once again, the “very best teams from across the continent” will be competing. Other than that, no further information has been provided.

More data is in from this month’s NPD report.

On the Switch hardware front, the Neon Switch was the month’s best-selling hardware SKU. That applies to both both unit and dollar sales.

That’s not the only good news for Nintendo. Switch software sales in May generated growth of 90% when compared to a year ago, which is the highest software revenues for any Nintendo platform in May since the Wii in May 2011. This is without digital sales since NPD does not track digital sales on Nintendo platforms.
