Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Hou coming to Switch in Japan

The visual novel Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Hou is being brought to the Nintendo Switch in Japan by Entergram. The game will release July 26th for 7,980 yen. The game will have all nineteen of the original story’s chapters as well as three additional scenarios for the console’s debut.

First Little Dragons Café screenshots

Last month, Aksys Games revealed Little Dragons Cafe. The new game is being developed by Yasuhiro Wada, the creator of Harvest Moon / Bokujo Monogatari.

Octopath Traveler – Traveler’s Compendium Edition back up on Amazon Germany

The Octopath Traveler – Traveler’s Compendium Edition went up on Amazon Germany last week. But less than a day in, pre-orders sold out.
Fans in Germany will be happy to hear that this is back up once again. Orders can be placed here. The game, a pop-up book, a map of Orsterra and a replica coin are all included.

Sonic Mania Plus pre-orders now open

Retailers are starting to take pre-orders for Sonic Mania Plus. Currently, Amazon has it here and GameStop has it here.
Sonic Mania Plus includes a physical copy of the game, a 32-page collector’s artbook, a reversible SEGA Genesis cover, and holographic packaging. The extra playable characters and new Encore Mode are also included.
In related pre-order news, Amazon started taking pre-orders for two more Switch releases today. You can reserve Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2 here and Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles here.
A Way Out dev on the lack of a Switch version

Earlier today, Hazelight Studios hosted a Reddit AMA. Fans were able to ask the team all sorts of questions, including why it won’t be on Switch.
Programmer Lucas de Vries pointed to Switch launching “quite late in our development cycle” as one reason for its absence. He also brought up how you would need to buy an extra Pro Controller for the game, “which seems like it would be a little unfair to the concept of the Switch.” Implementing single Joy-Con play also wouldn’t have really been an option due to the need for individual camera control.

Nintendo has shared the latest piece of concept art from Super Mario Odyssey, which highlights Bonneton. We have it above.
Nintendo says that many Bonneton was styled after a top hat, as we know. The ground texture was also intended to give off the feeling of a silk hat. As a way of highlighting the moon, only a certain amount of colors were used.
