The next update for ARMS will be adding a new character. Additionally, new ARMS will be added as well. Nintendo has started teasing the content on Twitter.

Here’s a look at the new ARM, which looks to be shield-based:


Nintendo has not yet said when the next ARMS update is happening. Given the recent teases, hopefully it isn’t too far off.

As previously reported, Poi will be coming to the Switch. EB Games now has a listing up for a physical release, featuring extra content with the “Explorer Edition.”

This special edition is set to include:

  • Extended Storyline
  • More challenging boss battles
  • Unlockable Soundtrack and Digital Art Book
  • New costumes and hats only available within the “Explorer Edition”
  • Joy-Con motion control support

Nintendo Switch

Nintendo is finally starting to send out some extra Switch stock. Thanks to that, the system was the best-selling console in the United States last month. NPD has confirmed that Switch outsold the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One in July. The system is also contributing to a healthy gaming market in the United States.

NPD analyst Mat Piscatella says that hardware spending has increased by 20 percent compared to 2016 to $1.6 billion. “Performance of the Nintendo Switch continues to be the primary cause of the year-on-year gains,” Piscatella said.

Following today’s announcement, Walmart has started taking pre-orders for the Splatoon 2 Switch bundle. You can reserve the hardware here. This is the only retailer where the bundle will be sold.

One of the features Minecraft players on Nintendo consoles have been waiting for is the ability to transfer worlds from Wii U to Switch. Fortunately, the functionality isn’t too far off.

During an official live stream today, the world transfer feature was shown off for the first time. The team had hoped to have it ready for the Switch version’s launch, but they wanted to take the extra time to ensure that it worked perfectly.

Nintendo challenged two UK Super Smash Bros. experts to put their fighting game skills to the test against ARMS​ producer Kosueke Yabuki.

SEGA announced its lineup for Gamescom 2017 today. Along with Sonic Forces, Total Warhammer II will be playable at the Koch Media stand, located in Hall 9.1, Booth no.011.

The Sonic Forces demo will contain three stages. Gamescom attendees can play as Modern Sonic, Classic Sonic, and the customizable Hero character.
