WayForward posted a big update about Shantae: Half-Genie Hero on Kickstarter yesterday. The studio offered some news about the game’s upcoming DLC.

First, Pirate Queen’s Quest is finished. The Risky Boots DLC has been submitted to Nintendo, so the release date shouldn’t be far away. The DLC is free for backers, and WayForward wants those who supported the project to be in a position to play Pirate Queen’s Quest early.

Nintendo provided a new piece of art from Super Mario Odyssey on its Japanese Twitter page. This time around, we have an image featuring a captured Cheep Cheep.

As a captured Cheep Cheep, Mario can move around in water freely. He also doesn’t have to worry about breathing while in this state.

Gust published a new trailer for Nights of Azure 2 today focusing on swimsuits. Interestingly enough, changing into swimsuits is tied to the game’s story as it’s tied to the purification rituals. Watch today’s video below.

Koei Tecmo published a new trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors today featuring Cordelia. Check out the first gameplay of the new character below.

After it launched on Switch a few hours ago, Nintendo has sent out the first update to those who are following the new Zelda: Breath of the Wild News channel. Director Hidemaro Fujibayashi will be sharing messages to players.

As for the initial items, they aren’t terribly exciting. Nintendo’s first distributions are only for apples and a piece of meat. Here’s hoping future items are a bit more exciting.

The new 2.1.0 update for ARMS went out a short while ago. In terms of actual new content, Nintendo didn’t bring in whole lot. However, the company is gearing up for some new additions rather soon.

The Japanese ARMS Twitter account has teased a new character that will be available with the next update. New ARMS will be included, too.

We just saw a new update today, so it might be a few weeks until the next one goes out.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Yesterday, Nintendo issued a new update for Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Part of the patch included the groundwork for some new functionality. Nintendo said it would be opening a News channel on Switch tomorrow that allows players to obtain unknown items when launching the game from messages that are delivered.

That channel is now open for business, but you won’t find anything there just yet. Nintendo will likely begin sending messages sometime this week. We do at least know that director Hidemaro Fujibayashi will be sharing “useful tips”.

With all that said, you can follow the new Breath of the Wild channel. Doing so will ensure that you receive Nintendo’s messages about the game, and you’ll be able to nab those mystery items.

Thanks to GIANTBOWSER for the tip.

A new update has just gone out for ARMS, bringing the game up to version 2.1.0. If you’ve purchased the game physically or digitally, the patch will be downloaded automatically. You can also force the update from Switch’s Home Menu.

Today’s ARMS update isn’t as significant as the last one, but it’s still noteworthy. Nintendo has made a number of changes and adjustments across the board, including fighters and ARMS. Nintendo has added new Training exercises, adjusted hitbox sizes for fighters, and more.

The full patch notes for ARMS version 2.1.0 are as follows:

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle creative director Davide Soliani shared a little nugget about the game’s performance on Twitter. When Switch is docked, the resolution will be 900. Like almost every other Switch game, it’s 720p in portable mode.

We’ve also pretty much known that Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle runs at 30 frames per second. But if you needed further confirmation, Davide has offered just that. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is 30 FPS both docked and when playing on Switch.
