At San Diego Comic-Con last week, SEGA hosted a special behind the scenes panel for Sonic Mania. Many fans were unable to attend, but thanks to a recording, the full event is now available for viewing. Check it out below.

The latest issue of Famitsu has shared a listing of the top 30 best-selling games in Japan for the month of June 2017. You can check out the full results below.

Select GameStop stores hosted a special Splatoon 2 event last weekend. You could stop by and play the game, get some color changing cups, and more.

It was nearly a week ago that Walmart took pre-orders for the Super NES Classic – or so we thought. The retailer ended up pulling the plug on reservations a few days ago.

In an email sent to customers, Walmart said that pre-orders went up “due to a technical glitch”. That’s fine and all, but those who thought they were lucky enough to score the system were dissatisfied that their orders were cancelled.

Splatoon 2 has been out for just over a week. Nintendo published the game last Friday, and many Switch owners likely purchased the game. One thing is for sure: it’s selling like hot cakes in Japan.

At San Diego Comic-Con last week, Marvel featured LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 during its official live stream with a game demo. Watch the recording below for the latest footage.

Splatoon 2’s release helped boost overall software sales in Japan last week. Between July 17 and July 23, there was a 251.55 percent increase at a total of 987,000 copies sold on the whole.

Switch also sold about 100,000 units. It was the second best week for the system – only behind the initial launch – and also raised overall Japanese hardware sales to 169,000 units. Sales were up 128.18 percent from last week.

Nintendo had plenty of Splatoon 2-related activities taking place at San Digeo Comic-Con 2017 last week. The company recaps everything that took place in the video below.

This week’s issue of Famitsu has a listing of the top 100 best-selling games in Japan for the first half of 2017. Eight Nintendo-related games are in the top ten alone, including Monster Hunter XX, Pokemon Sun/Moon, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
