Wii U

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart! Final Fantasy XV, Final Fantasy Explorers, Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, Bravely Second, and Tales of Zestiria are the new top five.

Head past the break for the full chart. All votes were cast between October 23 and October 29.

Update: Bumped to the top. This is an interesting twist! Was the whole stunt staged? New findings certainly point in that direction!

Listings for castings were discovered on LA Casting last week:

Karissa’s full name also seems to be “Karissa Bannister”. She’s an actress who appeared in a Ford commercial.

One GameStop outlet held an event for Smash Bros. Wii U yesterday. That wouldn’t be news under most circumstances… if not for “Karissa”!

“Karissa”, a 10-year-old girl, managed to beat several top West Coast Smash players at GameStop’s event. You can get a look at Karissa dominating the competition in the videos below.

Early Smash Bros. Wii U players – such as the press – have been unlocking content in the game, including stages. You’ll find footage of a returning stage after the break. This one is in Smash Bros. 3DS as well!

Nintendo recently opened a trio of teaser sites for upcoming games. You can now access pages for The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Code Name: S.T.E.A.M, and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Each one will eventually be updated will lots of content over time!

If you’re interested in amiibo and are considering picking up a figure or two, you may want to put in a pre-order – or make a purchase at launch. Nintendo is counting on the first amiibo shipments to sell out pretty fast.

“We’re expecting this first wave to disappear really quickly,” Nintendo’s Gil Ruta told The Detroit News. “We’re encouraging people to pre-order theirs or be the first in line.”
