Skylanders Imaginators – Crash and Cortex figures, special level bundled in new pack this holiday
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 1 Comment
Earlier this week, news leaked out about plans for a Dr. Neo Cortex figure in Skylanders Imaginators. Activision has now officially shared the news, and provided more details about the additional Crash Bandicoot representation.
Those who intend on picking up the Wii U version of Skylanders Imaginators can obtain a figure based on Cortex this holiday. He’ll be included in the Thumpin’ Wumpa Islands Adventure Pack for $29.99. It’ll also contain the Crash Bandicoot as a toy and the Thumpin’ Wumpa Islands level.
Here’s what that course offers:
“In the game, a ‘Synchronization Celebration’ has aligned the world of Skylands with the Wumpa Islands. Upon arriving, Spyro and Mags discover that Dr. Neo Cortex (voiced by Lex Lang) has created a terrible machine to harness the rhythmic power of the island’s celebration for his newest evil scheme! When the machine goes awry, something occurs that throws the whole party out of sync. Crash (voiced by Jess Harnell) must team up with the Skylanders and his old enemy Neo Cortex to restore the celebration before the Wumpa Islands are syncopated right out of existence!”
“The level includes special Crash Zones that bring back the classic massive boulder chases from the original games. And, as with any Skylanders level, there are secrets and hidden areas all along the way. In paying homage to this iconic character on his 20th anniversary, the level is packed with TNT boxes, crabs, hazards, temple ruins, Wumpa Fruit, exploding crates and many more elements from the original Crash. But it all takes place in the Skylands – which means a new twist of Skylanders combat and action brought into the world of the Wumpa Islands.”
Get a first look at Cortex in the gallery below. We also have some new screenshots of Crash.

Cortex from Crash Bandicoot on the way to Skylanders Imaginators, will have his own figure
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 8 Comments
Crash Bandicoot will be joining Skylanders Imaginators later this year, as he’ll be getting his own figure. However, that’s not the only character from the classic platforming series on the way to Activision’s new toys-to-life title.
An image on GameSpot’s website (now removed) reveals the existence of a Doctor Neo Cortex figure. Of course, he’s the primary antagonist of the Crash series.
Cortex will be included in a Starter Pack on the PlayStation 4. But just like Crash, he should be playable in all versions, including Wii U. Activision will likely bring out standalone figures of both Crash and Cortex at some point in the future.
