The 2DS may be heading to Japan after all. Nintendo recently registered a trademark for the system in the Japanese database, hinting at a release sometime in the future.

Two additional games are sale on the 3DS eShop.
First, Big Bass Arcade: No Limit can be purchased for $4.99 until October 3. Soccer Up 3D is also on sale for $3.99 until October 24.
A small change to the Pokemon catching formula is being introduced in Pokemon X/Y.
Each time a player successfully captures a Pokemon, the Pokemon the trainer went into battle with will now receive experience points. All previous entries in the series did not provide any experience.
