Switch continues to sell, but as far as EA support goes, we haven’t seen a whole lot. So far, the FIFA series has ended up along on the platform along with Fe from Zoink and a port of Unravel Two. During a financial call this week, EA commented on its thinking behind Switch support.
According to CEO Andrew Wilson, EA’s internal data indicates “a great many Switch owners also own a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One or a PC and very often choose to play the games that we make on those platforms even though they have a Switch and they enjoy a lot of great content on the Switch.”
Super Mario Maker 2 has reached its latest milestone. In about a month, players have uploaded over four million courses.
Nintendo previously announced yesterday that Super Mario Maker 2 has already sold 2.42 million copies worldwide.
Broken Delusion, a new adventure game coming from publisher Bilibili and Chinese developer Zhaijidian, has been announced for Switch. It’s currently planned for a 2019 release.

Original (7/30): Nintendo has issued the patch notes for Splatoon 2 version 5.0.0, which goes live around the world tomorrow, July 31. It will include the “Turf War (Splatfest)” mode in Private Battle, adjustments for Shellendorf Institute and New Albacore Hotel, a whole lot of weapon changes, and more.

One of the most well-known aspects about the Fire Emblem series is the usage of the weapon triangle. The main idea behind the gameplay feature is that a group of weapons may have advantages against one type, but is weak against another. Although the weapon triangle was present in quite a number of Fire Emblem games, it doesn’t appear in Three Houses.
Director Toshiyuki Kusakihara commented on its removal in an interview with GameSpot. Speaking with the site, Kusakihara explained why the team decided against using it in this particular game, stating:

Marvelous has gone live with a new Satelight-made “Order Zero” prologue animation for its Switch exclusive Daemon X Machina. In it, we’re able to get a look at what transpired before the start of the actual game.
