Switch has certainly sold well having already done better than the likes of the Wii U and N64. However, there are still many consumers that Nintendo can potentially reach.

During the Q&A portion of Nintendo’s financial results briefing, president Shuntaro Furukwawa touched on appealing to people who have yet to buy a Switch. Along with offering new ideas, Furukawa believes the company also needs to provide “even newer kinds of gaming experiences.”

As part of Nintendo’s latest financial results, it was announced that Nintendo Switch Online has reached nearly 10 million subscribers. President Shuntaro Furukawa spoke more about the service during the Q&A portion of the briefing.

Furukawa was first asked if members are coming or going, of if most have continued to stay on. In response, he said:

Cloud gaming is becoming more of a popular theme as of late. Just a couple of months ago, Google even announced that it would be getting into the space with its own service. Nintendo, however, isn’t going after this just yet.

President Shuntaro Furukawa, speaking, during Nintendo’s latest financial results briefing, noted that the tech is advancing, but not all games are immediately moving to the cloud. Additionally, the Big N is focusing on “delivering unique entertainment that only Nintendo can create” above all else.
