After a fairly quiet past week for Nintendo maintenance, things are picking up in a big way over the next few days. Starting today, several different sessions are planned that will impact 3DS, the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app, and Switch itself.
The current schedule is as follows:
A number of new deals are up and running on the North American Switch eShop. These include Freedom Planet, Human: Fall Flat, Death Squared, and more.

Jotun developer Thunder Lotus Games is bringing Sundered to Switch – and very soon at that. A listing on the Japanese eShop reveals a release date of December 21.
Sundered is described as “replayable metroidvania where you resist or embrace ancient eldritch powers.” We have more details and a trailer below.
The next summoning event has gone live in Fire Emblem Heroes. Three Heroes with Ward skills, which only they may wield, are available as a part of the 5-start Summoning Focus: Heroes with Ward Skills.
The new event will be live until December 13. Players won’t be required to use Orbs the first time they summon.
Katamari Damacy Reroll will only be released on Switch digitally in Europe, Bandai Namco recently confirmed to Nintendo Everything. That means a physical version will not be offered in the region and it will only be sold on the eShop.
In North America, the situation is slightly different. Katamari Damacy Reroll will be sold physically, but only at one retailer. GameStop has the exclusivity on that one.
Japan seems to be where Katamari Damacy Reroll is receiving the best treatment. It will be sold at most retailers without any exclusivity, and digital will still be an option.
The team behind NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 won’t be abandoning the game anytime soon. As relayed by lead producer Tobias Heussner, the team has a lot of additions lined up for the future.
Heussner said, “we’re planning to add some existing features to the game as well as more playgrounds as we did with the Halloween DLC. Also, more NBA players will be made available to our community. A lot more DLC is coming!”
Bethesda issued a new update for Fallout Shelter on Switch this week. All players can begin accessing version 1.0.2.

Rad Rodgers for Switch might be one of THQ Nordic’s worst-kept secrets right now. A number of signs have pointed to its release over the past few months, including listings on GameFly and the ESRB.
Adding to that is another listing, this time coming from Amazon Canada. The retailer even shows the game’s boxart. Based on Amazon’s accurate history as well as the packaging image (not to mention GameFly and ESRB’s listings), it’s pretty much safe to assume at this point that Rad Rodgers will be coming to Switch. It’s just a matter of when, and when THQ Nordic will make an announcement.
