Gameloft will be bringing its military first-person shooter Modern Combat Blackout to Switch on February 14, listings on the eShops reveal. This news applies to all major regions – North America, Europe, and Japan.

Skybound Games and Beamdog have announced a partnership that will see the release of several classic roleplaying titles on Switch. Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate ll, Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment, Neverwinter Night will all be released on Switch this year.

In the early ’90s, id Software worked on a series of side-scrolling platformer games known as Commander Keen. The studio is now more largely known for the likes of Doom, Rage, and Wolfenstein.

Now roughly three decades later, Commander Keen has returned with a surprise re-release on Switch. Commander Keen in Keen Dreams is available on the eShop despite no prior announcement.

In both Europe and Japan, a new demo for Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn is out on the 3DS eShop. Check out some footage from the trial below.

2K and Saber Interactive have introduced a new update for NBA 2K Playgrounds 2. The game has received the 2019 NBA All-Star playground in Charlotte and a special Valentine’s Day playground in addition to new cosmetic outfit items themed around both playgrounds and dozens of new players to unlock.

Here’s some additional information about what else has been added:

R-Type Dimensions EX is getting a physical release, Strictly Limited Games has announced. No word yet on a specific release date, but orders should be opening sometime this month.

R-Type Dimensions EX originally came to the Switch eShop last November. It bundles the space shooters R-Type and R-Type II into a single package with retro 2D graphics and 3D graphics .

Sony Pictures has announced that the new Monster Hunter movie will debut on September 4, 2020. Milla Jovovich, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Meagan Good, Diego Boneta, Josh Helman, Jin Au-Yeung, and Ron Perlman are starring in the film.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Publisher JanduSoft and developer Nape Games will be bringing V.O.I.D. to the Switch eShop on February 28, the two companies have announced. The side-scrolling action adventure game will be sold via the eShop.
