A couple of weeks ago, Bossa Studios put out a video that seemed to hint at a Switch version of Surgeon Simulator. The studio made it official today, and announced that Surgeon Simulator CPR (Co-op Play Ready) is coming to Nintendo’s console.

In Surgeon Simulator CPR, you’ll play as Nigel Burke – a would-be surgeon with a less-than-conventional toolkit – in which you perform terrifying transplants in theatre, high-pressure procedures in an ambulance, and anti-gravitational operations in space. The notoriously difficult controls are still present here, but making the experience special are some new Switch features.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has started its fourth Fishing Tourney. During the event, players are tasked with catching fish and giving them to Chip. You can receive a trophy and other prizes depending on the amount and total size of the fish provided to him.

The tourney lasts until June 30. Once the event ends, you can receive your trophy until July 31.

This week’s issue of Famitsu revealed that the rhythm game Cytus Alpha is heading to Switch. A few more details have emerged from the Japanese magazine.

Famitsu states that Cytus Alpha has been completely revamped from the original smartphone version, and it will be easier to play on Switch. It will be possible to continue playing songs without getting a game over in the middle of one.

Additionally, over 200 registered tracks are included in Cytus Alpha. But there are actually over 400 if you included arranged versions. All tracks that have been in Cytus will be in the game, and several entirely new songs will also be appearing.

Iconoclasts is just a week away from joining the Switch eShop. Dangen Entertainment, the game’s Japanese publisher, revealed today that a release is planned for August 2. That news should apply to the west as well, though we’ll let you know if anything changes.

Iconoclasts features expanded difficulty options and a boss rush mode on Switch. This includes “a difficulty that lets you get past harder challenges without dying,” according to developer Joakim Sandberg.

Hamster has announced two more classic games for Switch this week. On the NeoGeo front, we’ll be getting The King of Fighters ’97. The arcade title Omega Fighter will be arriving on the same day.

Here’s a brief introduction to both:

Recently, our very own Oni Dino made his own path to the Square Enix Café in Tokyo to see the Octopath Traveler experience they are currently hosting. He returned after gaining much knowledge, experience and photos and decided to share his tale with all of you!

I was lucky enough to gain Oni’s blessing on sharing some of the pictures and my thoughts on them. Please enjoy and make sure to read all about the adventure, the full menu, and pictures over here.

Earlier this month, NIS America and Kadokawa officially announced RPG Maker MV for Switch. Famitsu confirms a Japanese release where it will be launching on November 15.

Aside from Switch, RPG Maker MV will be releasing on other platforms like Xbox One. According to Famitsu, the two platforms will be compatible with each other. That means if you create something on Switch for example, users on the Xbox One will be able to access it.
